Talks a good game. He says the right things to get you on the hook but then pushes you for more money. He's an adequate attorney and does the bare minimum but in the end doesn't really care what happens to you. I had a serious medical condition and he threw me under a bus when the case went south. This client was charged in Federal Court with three counts of bank robbery all of which were alleged to be on video. We went to trial and on the morning of closing arguments he cut his tether off and ran so I had to give my closing with no client. The jury came back hung and the client turned himself in after several consultations with me about how he was now a federal fugitive. A pretrial conference was held by zoom because the pandemic had broken out and my client was in custody because of his actions. The government requested a retrial where they intended to introduce my client's flight and I requested to withdraw because he had turned me into a potential witness because of HIS actions. I also requested he be evaluated because of his actions and agreed to represent him for no money until the evaluation was complete. The evaluation took 4 months because of the pandemic, and he was not given bond during this time. Based on the way he remembers what happened and the fact that he was saying I caused the pandemic to screw him, it should be clear why I wanted him evaluated.
