This lawyer is the worst in the business. She promised us we would continue with our case, and prepared me for a long fight for our son, so I happily paid this woman what we owed her for my first case, and then continued to pay her more money in hopes of having a reduced balance when we went to the n...ext phase of the case, I never heard from her again!

I retained Bernadette, for a case with my daughter, she went to court with us made all these promises and said she was going to file things for us and we paid her and over the next few days she and I texted back and forth and she told me that she filed the items and we were supposed to meet so that I... could get a copy of things. She kept making stupid excuses left and right. Then finally just stopped responding to texts, emails and phone calls. She does not respond to anyone. She ended up filing an item but it was filed late and therefore denied! We had to hire another attorney dish out more money, to find out she cant represent us and has to file a motion to get Bernadette off the case. So now she has screwed us and we are in limbo with a losing case!!! This lady is very unprofessional, and scattered! She was scattered in the past with another case but I tried to give her a chance. She was still doing a job. But I just do not understand why she would just do this to us. I trusted her and this is what I get! Never ever would I recommend her she does not have it together at all!

Ms Bernadette Castro has charged me for appearing at a pretrial hearing that she did not attend. She stated she never received notice of the hearing when we tried several times to get in touch with Ms. Castro. Once we did speak with her she stated we would meet prior to the hearing, cancel meeting ...same day. Then stated she would meet at the hearing and she did not show up. Now has charged us for not showing up.
