In 1995, I founded Mike Morse Law Firm with a passion for doing what’s right and a drive to win—values I learned from my dad, a dedicated attorney whose legacy continues to inspire me every day. Today, as the owner of Michigan’s largest personal injury firm, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built: a team of 250+ legal experts who have helped over 100,000 clients and recovered more than $2 billion for accident victims. Every case is personal to us, and we never lose sight of the people behind the paperwork.

My journey to becoming an attorney wasn’t without challenges. After earning my B.S. in Business with honors from the University of Arizona, I began law school at the University of Detroit with plans to join my dad’s personal injury practice. During my first year, he passed away unexpectedly while on vacation, changing the course of my life. I stayed in law school to honor his legacy, and after gaining valuable experience at a small law firm, I took a leap of faith and founded my own firm in 1995 with nothing more than a rented desk, a phone, and the determination to build something meaningful.

Along the way, I’ve learned that setbacks often become the foundation for growth. From rebuilding after a devastating office fire to expanding into our headquarters in Southfield and launching the 855-MIKE-WINS brand, every challenge has reinforced my commitment to helping injury victims and building a firm that puts people first. I’ve always believed that success comes from continually investing in great people, innovative technology, and systems that allow us to serve our clients at the highest level.

Beyond representing clients, I’m passionate about helping others grow. I’m proud to have co-founded Fireproof with my COO, John Nachazel, to help law firms across the country build stronger businesses using the same principles that helped us grow Mike Morse Law Firm. Together, we also co-authored the best-selling book Fireproof, sharing the lessons we’ve learned about leadership, culture, and building an organization that lasts.

Giving back has always been one of the most rewarding parts of my career. Through initiatives like Project Backpack, which has provided more than 300,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to local students, and Meet Your Best Friend, which has helped more than 1,000 shelter pets find loving homes, I’ve remained committed to strengthening the community that has given me so much. I’ve also been fortunate to receive recognition throughout my career, including being named one of America’s 50 Most Influential Trial Lawyers, earning multiple Golden Gavel Awards, and being featured as a legal expert on The Today Show, HuffPost, and local news across Metro Detroit.

I was born and raised in Detroit, and I’m a proud dad to three incredible daughters. I love to golf, travel, and stay involved in the community that’s given me so much. Detroit will always be home, and I’ll always fight for the people who call it home too.
