Henry Ebere Ibe

Ibe focuses his practice on immigration and family law. Ibe's interest in immigration stems from his own personal experience relocating to the United States from West Africa and navigating the immigration system first hand. 

While in law school, Ibe served as an intern for Honorable Judge John H. Gillis Jr. at the Third Circuit Court in Wayne County. He received the Warrior Pro Bono award for legal pro-bono work performed at Wayne State University Law School.

Ibe was also an active member of the school’s Moot Court and the Trial Advocacy Program. He also served as a legal intern and student attorney at the Asylum and Immigration Law Clinic, where he was able to get favorable outcomes for his clients. He is experienced in handling cases involving asylum, adjustment of status, VAWA petition, petition for alien relatives and work authorizations permits to name a few.

Prior to pursuing his passion and creating H.I. Legal PLLC, Ibe worked at a business law firm, where he provided legal services to startups and entrepreneurs in Detroit. He most recently worked as an associate attorney at a prominent firm in the Metro Detroit area, where he litigated a variety of insurance defense matters and defended Michigan no-fault claims for multiple auto insurance carriers.
