VERY GOOD WORK

Where do I start, I was preferred to Mr. Nigohosian by a friend who told me Kelly Nigohosian had did a good job on her bankruptcy (chapter 7). I've had been pushing this off for years until I decided to give him a try. Gave him a call, from the beginning he was up front and letting me know the d...ifferent prices he charge for chapter 7 and chapter 13 cases. He also informed me that there will be no filing going on unless I paid the filing fee and the attorney fee as well. No problem no one works for free I thought to myself, so a grand total of $1,000 is what I would have to pay to get this started most attorneys where charging $1600.00. Immediately I told him I didn't have that right now and if he would accept payments. No problem he said I gave him $500 down and set up a two week payment plan to pay off the balance. My payment plan defaulted due to garnishments from work and other bills that needed to be paid. So I called him to let him know that it was a problem for me to continue with the payment plan. Kelly Nigohosian told me no problem when I get the rest of the money to give him a call and we can continue. . Did I mention this was in the summer of 2014 when I started payment plan... A whole year went pass and I still was able to call the same number and get in contact with Mr. Nigohoisan and he knew who I was. Ran down my situation to him and was able to pick right up where I left. Same number, same office building I came in with my receipts, credit report and other materials I needed to get things rolling and the rest of the balance which was $ 500.00 an began the process of filing chapter 7. I was briefed on every step and counseled on every piece of paper and I never had to wait on him to arrive for a meeting Kelly Nigohoisan was even there for the court hearing. I had did my homework and called a lot of bankrupt attorney's and ask many questions on how they did things and I wasn't comfortable nor did I like how they did there clients. Some attorneys want you to pay all this money just for a counseling and that's it, they don't come to court with you or counsel you to make sure that the decision to file bankruptcy is the best possible solution for you, most just want your money and that's it. I'm very pleased with my decision and I will definitely recommend Kelly Nigohoisan to other people who are thinking about filing bankruptcy.

Worst experience I've ever had

Kelly Nigohosian was recommended to me by a friend to handle my bankruptcy case. When I first spoke to him on the phone, he was very nice, eager to help me, agreed that we could set up a payment plan for his fee, etc. I met with one of his assistants last week and she gave me a list of documents I ne...eded and drew up an agreement which I signed. I also paid a retainer of $150.I got all the financial documents ready, including the credit counseling, and made an appointment to see Kelly today. I got to his office 10 minutes late and he was gone. I had to wait an hour for him to come back and, at first, he was very friendly and enthusiastic, praised me for having all the paperwork ready, asked me some financial questions and printed out more paperwork for me to sign. He was seemingly ready to move forward with my Chapter 7 filing. He then asked me how much I had paid so far and when I told him, he completely flipped out. He stood up and said, "I'm not doing this...I'm not doing this." I had no idea what was going on at first, but then he said, "Here's your money back. I'm not doing this." He threw $150 in cash at me, shoved my paperwork back at me across the desk and tore up the documents I had just signed. He continued to rant, "I'm not doing this...you can't be mad at me...I'm done...you expect me to do this for you when you've only given me $150..." and on and on. When I reminded him that he had initially agreed to a payment plan, he just said, "I'm not doing it." I told him he should have said that a month ago and he said, "I'm telling you now...you can't be mad at me for this...I'm done...goodbye." Basically shoved me out the door. I was so stunned, I couldn't believe it. The most unprofessional behavior I've ever seen and made me waste almost an entire month in filing. HORRIBLE.

One more thing to clarify. We were going to try to get the filing fee of $334 waived for the client, but the retainer agreement in two places is clear that we can not actually file the case and get a case number until the attorney fee portion is paid in full. This is pursuant to not only federal law, but it was agreed upon by the client. She was not satisfied with that, so we gave her her money back in full. However she signed the retainer agreement indicating that we would be paid in full prior to filing.
