I met Karyn during a time when I was struggling and overwhelmed, physically and emotionally. I was not at my strongest or was I as confident as normal. Karyn took my hand, metaphorically, and helped lift me above some of the struggle, with her vast knowledge and tenacity. I felt her compassion... for the situation, I felt more confident, I felt heard, felt loyalty and I felt her conviction that I was not alone and that the situation would get better. I understood from day one that should would stand by my side and help me to find resolution.

I’ve dealt with nearly a dozen attorneys in the last twenty years, for various reasons. In the midst of one legal nightmare that was breaking me in more ways than one, I needed help. Karyn came highly recommended and has been my attorney for several years now. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate h...er. To put it frankly, she doesn’t blow smoke up your A$$ and she doesn’t bill you every time she thinks your name. Besides that, she has a good relationship with her receptionist, which is sadly uncommon! She also seems to have good relationships and interactions within the court, although I’ve only seen a couple of those, since she has kept me out of there as much as possible, another thing I appreciate! I wouldn’t have noticed that if she was my first attorney, but Karyn seems to understand the court and what it will likely do. She tells it to you straight and doesn’t waste your time and money trying to fight for stupid things. I’m certain firing the attorney I was using and hiring Karyn saved me thousands! My previous attorney was dragging the case out having me see bogus mediators and billing me $60 to text me and ask for money when I owed him $43, he also billed me $60 to ask me why I fired him and $120 multiple times to forward me mail from the court, and it goes on... Karyn has never done anything remotely like that! She estimates very close to what she needs and asks for it up front. She took care of everything without me having to run by her office to sign papers all the time (another thing I got billed for by the other guy!) and she did it quickly, without games and drawing it all out, which is better for your mental health as well as your wallet. Honestly, Karyn was so honest and fair that I gave her a large tip after it was done, because I want her to put up with me forever! I did have a second matter a year or so after the first, and Karyn took care things the same way. A fair and honest estimate, no nonsense and it was handled within months, which is not what I’ve experienced pre-Karyn. I would recommend Karyn to anyone, I can’t say enough good about her.

If you are involved in a divorce, I highly recommend Karyn. Don’t look any further. From a guy’s perspective where the system is biased against us, Karyn will get you the lowest support amount. She’s a real fighter and is extremely aggressive, knowledgeable and well-versed in how the system works.... I fired my previous attorney and am so glad I had Karyn. She got me a settlement I could only have dreamed about. She pokes serious holes in opposing arguments that others miss. I’m sure she handles other types of cases with the same aggressiveness and skill, and if I need an attorney again, I’d hire her in a New York minute. Again, don’t look any further.

Karyn MacDonald navigated my case through county, district, federal and even in French court. Through the whole process she was dedicated, supportive and caring.
