Mr. Femminineo would not answer any pertinent questions when I would ask him and he would not have any issues billing me for that time, even though my questions remained unanswered. For almost a year, I asked him what my soon to be ex-husbands income was so that I could calculate child support and p...ossible alimony. He insisted on playing a cat-and- mouse game with me. One day prior to my divorce hearing, he called me into his office, around 4:00 pm to present me with a letter announcing that he was withdrawing from my case because I was problematic. He knew that I had to see the judge the following morning at 9:00 am. He toyed with me during this meeting by telling me that he has known my ex husbands income the entire time and he was not about to disclose that with me because he did not have to. He also told me at that time that the opposing attorney and himself had been friends since high school and that I was screwed. I arrived at the court house the following morning only to run into Mr. Femminineo. He told me that he would take my case, as long as I was willing to sign my divorce judgement right then and there. I was about to be called into the court to see the judge and and I had not idea what I was going to tell the judge because I was still in shock about what occurred the night before. So, I told Mr. Femminineo that I would allow him to represent me. He gave me the judgment to sign and I did not have time to review it, because I was about to be called into court. Before I signed it, I asked him if it was the same judgment that I had reviewed a few days prior. He said yes, that it was. Seeing that I was under insurmountable pressure, I believed him and signed the papers. We went in front of the judge and I agreed to the divorce. When I arrived home, I reviewed the divorce judgment against the one he had given me a few days earlier and there were many changes made, not to my favor. I lost several tens of thousands of dollars because of him. He is unprofessional, arrogant, rude and demeaning. He has financially ruined my life. Here is the kicker. After five years, I still do not have a signed copy of the divorce judgment. I called the office to get one and was told that they gave me one on the day that the divorce was final. I did not get one. They were happy to send me another one as long as I was willing to pay for it. If anyone knows an attorney that would take this case to sue Mr. Femminineo for misconduct, please leave a message on this site. No one should be treated as I was.

Hired JF to handle divorce with issues of abuse but no custody issues. After 6 months, JF still had not filed a status quo order, although he had billed me over $3000 and created masive piles of paperwork. Not one order was ever submitted to court to be signed.When I called his office to inquire as t...o what my status was, and what orders had been submitted, I had great difficulty getting any answers, and I was often put on hold for long periods of time, only to be told that the case and actions were 'pending'. Ex realized that there was no status quo order, and stopped paying any support for shared debts, such as credit cards, house payment etc. When I demanded why there was no order filed, JF FIRED me, said to get a new lawyer, and then sent a bill for an additional $3000. I got a new lawyer (at an addtional cost to me) who was able to complete divorce in under 6 weeks, all orders signed with no problems. JF took me to court for additional $ he stated I owed, judge reduced amount in half due to billing irregularities. Was on a payment plan, but then JF took me back to court and garnished my savings when he claimed I was 2 weeks late on a payment, which it turns out he actually had in his possession, proven with my canceled check. Based on my experience, I found JF and his staff to be rude in phone contacts, inefficient in processing my case, lax in billing and filing details, and unable to protect my personal and financial interests in the filing of a divorce.

This attorney never informed me of anything and made "deals" that I didn't know about until they were cleared with the court. He overcharged me for doing absolutely nothing. He didn't represent any of my interests, and he made demands of my financial assets without my approval. This lawyer helped out... the other side more than anything. Use anyone but this guy.
