President, Wine Importing Company

I recently contacted Marc Shaye to request his counsel on dealing with an issue involving the U.S. Department of Commerce. After explaining the issue to Marc, he asked me a few questions to assure that he clearly understood the request. He said he would get back to me after he had a chance to revie...w the request and offer his opinion. Within moments he called me back and gave me clear and understandable advice on how I should respond to the issue. He left no doubt that he not only understood the request but was confident that his advice was correct and that I could proceed with confidence that the federal government would not disagree. I was extremely pleased with Marc's prompt response, his professionalism and clear and thorough advice.

Marc Shaye Review

From: David Usher CEO Marine Pollution Control TO: AVVO, Inc I was first introduced to Marc Shaye in 1970 when he was an associate attorney with Keller and Heckman, Washington, D.C. He assisted me with two important matters and from thereon we began a professional and personal relationship, w...hich has lasted to this day. Marc was instrumental in the formation of the then Oil Spill Control Association of America, later becoming the Spill Control Association of America. Marc was instrumental in the management of this non-profit trade association and served as its General Counsel, guiding the group as the industry grew to an important capability for the United States in responding to emergencies of pollution caused by releases of oil and hazardous materials. I have watched Marc’s legal career develop as he grew his interest in environmental and occupational safety and health matters. He has a unique ability to fully understand legal mandates and combine that understanding with an appreciation of technical solutions to complex problems. Marc continues to demonstrate his abilities to confront problems in objective ways and to provide counsel that I value highly. In past years, he has supported legislative initiatives which were important to the interest of environmental responders and importantly, to the well being of our nation. He continuously works to bring divergent views from government, industry and other stakeholders toward useful and constructive solutions.

Consummately professional and competent representation

A fatality in the workplace requires expertise to responsibly and compassionately deal with every facet of such a tragic event. Marc Shaye provided the sound counsel to our group, and assured that we would be correctly represented. His years of experience, combined with an even-tempered demeanor, ...were in my opinion, greatly responsible for the final resolution of our issue.

Superb counsel in OSHA matters

Mr. Shaye was our expert counsel in an accident case which eventually involved the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA). He guided us through the appeals process allowing us to reach an acceptable settlement. I would definitely recommend Marc Shaye for any MIOSHA or Worke...rs Comp situation, his knowledge and experience will 'level the playing field.'

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"I have been in the practice of law for over 45 years, with a major emphasis upon real estate matters including building and operations for all types of residential & commercial development. Over this period of time, the requirements for environmental knowledge has surpassed my comfort level. While my experience with other environmental attorneys was satisfactory overall, I continually had concerns with the practically of their advice and ultimately the overwhelming costs. I then met Marc Shaye and have used him on several projects for environmental matters. Besides being satisfied with his technical expertise I have been amazed at the practical approach he takes and the resulting savings both in time and expense. This was true even in dealing with Detroit based properties, which have some of the more complex issues, compounded by political issues. I can without fear or hesitation recommend that you consider Marc for any environmental/legal issues."
