Brittany Lee Brockman

A Jasper native, Brittany attended college at Indiana University (Bloomington) where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis. 

During law school, Brittany served on the Philanthropy and Social Committees of Phi Alpha Delta, the Social Committee of the Student Bar Association, and as the Student Membership Chair and the Graphic Design Chair of the Federalist Society. She has completed internships at the Steven C. Bradley Law Office, the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law Disability Clinic, and the Indiana State Senate. 

Brittany is currently serving as the Vice President of the Dubois County Bar Association and as a member of the Jasper Chamber of Commerce and the Dubois County Estate Planning Council.

An advocate for human rights and the humane treatment of animals, Brittany has written scholarly articles on topics such as public access to local government, constitutional human rights, politics and human rights in South America, ethical considerations for military violence, legal issues of medical procedures on infants, factory farming laws and ethics, age discrimination in employment, the connection between salary and work ethic, creditors' rights in Chapter 13 bankruptcy, and access to aid for victims of domestic violence.

Brittany is the daughter of Fred and Jennifer Brockman, the granddaughter of Rita and the late Levinus Brockman, and the granddaughter of Gerry and the late Bill Giesler. When she's not working, Brittany loves spending time with her family and friends, especially her three-year-old son Jack, her sister Amanda, and her boyfriend Reece Van Winkle. She also loves golfing with Grandma Giesler ("GG") and running with her dog, Maria.
