Practice areas

I was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After completing my undergraduate studies at Indiana University at Fort Wayne, I attended Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. I have been admitted to practice law in the state of Indiana and the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.

My practice is concentrated in the area of criminal defense with a focus on defending drinking drivers. I have completed training in the operation of the Intoximeter EC/IR II, Indiana’s breath test machine. I regularly attend seminars on breath, blood, and urine testing.

I also represent clients in matters related to criminal defense, such as license suspensions and expungements.

I am a member of the Allen County Bar Association and The National College for DUI Defense.

Strangulation

After my husband lost his job, had a really bad day, was taken over by alcohol , a one-time incident. Hiring John, was the best decision we could have ever made, strangulation and domestic violence down from what we thought would be 6000.00 and jail time to$160 Court fine probation this was in 2012 I cannot say Thank you enough for allowing us to move forward without persecution.

Saved my holidays

I came in and said that I get my son over the holidays and I cannot afford to go to jail he proceeded to tell me that he would not allow me to go to jail and got multiple charges dropped great lawyer good guy thanks a lot John

Could not have asked for a better lawyer for all i went through!

John was always on it and never left me to be guessing what was going to happen next he was very imformative and fast responsive to everything and he dkda great job with my case and I was very happy with what he did.

John watkins is a true powerhouse Lawyer !!!

John kept me informed and always always answered my calls. He always had time for me even when not scheduled if I popped in his office to see him just for a status update. In the end John filed a motion to suppress and did an excellent job and won the suppression. I had Kevin Likes from Auburn,IN and he was terrible and couldn't even look at me when asking questions or give me straight answers. If you hire John you will get your moneys worth and then some. John stays on top of laws to help his clients. Also he doesn't trade you off or try to get you to plea as most lawyers do. If you say trial he prepares for trial not a plea. Most lawyers will take your money and then just do a half ass job and try to get you to take a plea, just to get you out of their hair. If you value your freedom and want to get what you pay for hire John. Remember no lawyer is cheap but some do cheap work. I always recommend John to anyone who ask about a lawyer and i bet you will to if you hire him for your case and see what a talented Lawyer he is.
