Sorry I ever contacted him.

I hired Stipp in 2013 to handle my divorce. I was moving to South Carolina with my job. He told me not to worry that he had my back. My wife had the better lawyer and walked away with much more than she was entitled to. I was taking medication for depression at the time and my thinking was impaired. ...There were questions that should have been asked that never were. For example, I had built up over 4000 of my 5000 points toward a military retirement before we were married. She was only entitled to half of 20% of that retirement but walked away with half. When we met to settle and divide everything with my wife and her lawyer, Stipp kept checking his watch in the afternoon. It seemed to me that he had to get back to his office and was not happy about having to be there with me and had more important things to do. My wife walked away with everything in the house and 3/4s of our investments and savings plus half of my two retirements at that time.

Very caring & just

My situation is very complex & I couldn't find anyone willing to take it on. No one cared that 2 young children's lives were being ruined in the process either. I contacted Attorney Stipp & was pleasantly surprised to hear that he'd take it on & for a reasonable fee as well. An amazing, honest, knowl...edgeable, fair attorney who also believes in justice!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
