I attempted to hire Mario to draft a prenuptial agreement, and my experience was extremely disappointing. Communication was consistently difficult. I often struggled to receive updates or timely responses, and timelines that were promised were not met. I was told the first draft would take two weeks,... but it took over four weeks with no communication in between even after I tried to ask for an updated timeline repeatedly, and the draft I eventually received contained errors (including incorrect years/dates) and was drafted in a way that strongly favored my fiancé, who was not even their client. It did not reflect my clear and direct instructions or protect my interests as their client. At my very first appointment, I provided a clear draft outlining exactly what I wanted. Mario had no interest in going over this with me and offering me any legal advice or guidance. Despite the clear instructions I gave on what I wanted, the agreement I received after over four weeks included provisions I never requested. These provisions were added without my consent, knowledge, or any discussion or explanation. Having terms added into a legal agreement without my approval or discussion felt negligent and unacceptable, especially since many of them directly worked against my best interests. I requested revisions to remove those provisions that were added without my consent and asked for an updated timeline. After sending multiple follow-up texts, emails and calls —over five times across more than two more weeks—I was completely ignored by both Mario and his assistant. I was unable to get any response or explanation as to why these terms were included without my consent or when the revisions would be completed. At that point, I decided to fire Mario and hire a different attorney. This office was unresponsive to an extreme degree, failed to provide any meaningful advice or guidance, and did not act in my best interests. He gave me 0 guidance or advice and was very unfriendly in our meeting the first time we met. Rather than simplifying the process, their handling of my matter made it more stressful and difficult. Don’t waste your time or money, hire someone else.
