Happy as can be!

Christine was able to guide me through an extremely difficult period in my life and with her expertise and compassion we were able to finalize my divorce. She and Chelsea took the time to explain what was going on and kept open the lines of communication. If I ever need the services of an attorney I... will not hesitate to call her.

Would recommend

Christine and her staff were prompt and thorough in addressing my concerns and questions during my case. My legal need exceeded a two year period and feel their office always had my best interest, as their client, at heart.

Wonderful and kind Attorney

My husband and I have consulted with Christine three different times since 2011. We hired her to domesticate adoptions of three of our children who were born overseas. It was a painless and easy process with Christine. We are currently clients and Christine was/is our only choice in attorney represen...tation given her kindness, honesty, integrity and expertise on DCS law and policy. She truly cares about everyone involved and strives to work together for what is best for everyone. We always know what is going on and receive answers in a timely manner. When I'm asked by foster parents who I'd recommend for an attorney, my answer is always Christine Majewski. What we love the most is her honesty, from explaining what all could happen case wise to invoicing. We have always gotten a detailed summary of charges when we are billed. If you are in need of an attorney that is well versed in family and adoption law, DCS policy inside and out, and more importantly, is extremely honest and caring, we highly recommend giving her office a call.

Bogus charges

Hired this law firm for a child visitation agreement . Although I did not directly ever come in contact with the owner Christine, she frequently billed for services that were questionable (phone calls and such, letters that were never mailed) My attorney showed "no charge" in her own billing but I... was still charged by Christine . I was also charged for alleged phone calls from the ex that I had zero knowledge of or control of. I was supposed to receive monthly invoices of charges which I never received until I called and then was charged for calling. Then the invoice I did receive stated re "paternity" which was completely wrong , and has his name wrong . Upon exiting the firm I was charged a fee to do that also , in fact, stating " brief meeting charge" that I never consented to nor attended ! I signed a paper that I hand carried to the office stating I was withdrawing my case. Next I was also contacted by the office that my file was ready to be picked up, made the trip there only to find nobody had any knowledge of it. I would NEVER recommend this law firm . I feel the owner is more concerned with money than the case !

Dear Colleen, Please understand that due to confidentiality, I am unable to address the specifics of any case, nor am I able to even confirm or deny that you are or ever were a client of this firm. Unfortunately, there are individuals who have been giving negative reviews, with whatever motivation, and unfortunately in this profession, I do not even have an opportunity to point out any mistruths or defend myself. That being said, I will respond to the issues you raised in general terms to explain how we endeavor to treat ALL Clients. First, you explained that you had frustration with a case being referred to as a “Paternity” case. I can see how that could be confusing for someone who was seeking legal assistance with issues such as visitation or child support. The way cases work in Indiana, though, is that any case in which the parents are not married is classified by the Courts as a “Paternity” case. Therefore, if a person has visitation or child support issues in a Paternity case, the type of case will still be reflected as a paternity case. The Courts do not recognize “Visitation” as a type of case. You also brought up the issue of invoice charges. At our Firm, all Clients sign an Agreement to establish the Attorney-Client relationship, and that Agreement sets forth, as specifically as possible, how a case is billed. We value honest and open relationships with our Clients and have taken extra care in providing our Clients with contracts that communicate how legal fees are calculated. Our desire to have honest and open communication with our Clients even extends to the email I send to Clients, which states. “We do everything we can to ensure that your invoice is accurate. If you notice any inaccuracies, or if you have any questions about your account, please contact us and ask to speak with Christine.” Finally, you reported that an attorney at the Firm who was handling the case did a “no charge” on your bill. Please know that I am the only person who handles the invoices here at the Firm. Associate Attorneys do not have authority to make any decisions when it comes to invoices. If any invoice goes out with an item that reflects “no charge”, it is a discretion that I exercise given particular circumstances. I am very sorry that you felt the need to leave a negative review about our Firm. I think if you were to ask, most of our clients would say they had a very positive experience with our law firm. Please know that I have an open door to speak with Clients if they ever have a concern, and I invite them to please contact me if they would like to discuss any situation. If something is wrong, I want to make it right.

Christine made all the difference in our case. She gave us a forever family.

We hired Christine to represent our family in a messy adoption case. Upon our first meeting, it was evident that she cared deeply about our case and provided empathy, but was also very knowledgable and analytical about what needed to be done and when. Christine took time to explain the process to e...nsure we were comfortable with each step. She was assertive and diligent in staying on top of things and her ability to negotiate, influence, and hammer out a deal is second to none. Christine was accessible throughout our entire case. With the help of a strong office staff and an incredible paralegal, we never had to wait for a question to be answered; she was truly just a phone call away. Christine's attention to detail and tireless work was, in my opinion, one of the major reasons we won our case and were able to adopt our daughter. Christine made all the difference in our case. She gave us a forever family.
