My name is Liz Homes.  I am an attorney, yes, but am also a person just like you. Many times when I am meeting with a client for the first time, they are puzzled by the fact that I am so friendly and normal.  I pride myself on being a human being first. I find myself telling people that I was "Liz" before the bar exam and am still Liz.  This may sound silly, but I do not think that I provide any type of service when people feel as though they cannot approach me.  I take my client's needs very seriously and am thrilled to be put in a position of trust.  Many of the topics and issues raised in a meeting are very heavy and important.  It is imperative that the professional that you are speaking with about whatever issue or question you may have, is actually listening. That is my opinion. 

I started my own Law Practice in 2015 and have been loving assisting my clients with their needs!  I assist clients with Special Needs Planning, "Regular" Estate Planning, Guardianship, Probate and Elder Law. I have recently been serving as a Guardian Ad Litem and also assist with IEP matters. 

Why do I do what I do?  First and foremost, I went to law school so that I could help other people.  I know that this sounds simple but that is really what it comes down to. A big part of my practice focuses on help families that have loved ones with special needs or individuals with special needs themselves.  The reason behind this particular focus and passion is my brother.  My brother has a variety of special needs.  I find joy in being able to help families that have loved ones with special needs.  It is fun, rewarding and very much more than a clock in, clock out job to me. 

On a personal note, I attend Trader's Point Christian Church and volunteer in the Special Needs Ministry.  I also volunteer around town in various non-profits and organizations. My practice is not limited to Indianapolis.  I am happy to serve my clients, wherever they are (within the state of Indiana).  I generally try to schedule my appointments during the week but am willing to meet with clients when it fits into their schedule, schedule permitting.
