The Bankruptcy Legal Services is a woman owned and operated law firm with one attorney, Portia Douglas. In 1985, she graduated from Notre Dame Law School with the goal of helping people. Since 1987, she has been practicing exclusively consumer and small business bankruptcy law, taking a personal interest in helping clients receive a financial fresh start. Portia gives personal & non-judgmental bankruptcy service to each client. At your first consultation , the bankruptcy process will be explained in detail. Portia takes the time to determine the needs of each individual case; in 2017, she successfully won a rare bankruptcy judgment, discharging a client's federal student loans. Portia realizes that each case is as unique as each client.
