Stephen A. Oliver is a founding partner in the firm of Boren, Oliver, & Coffey, LLP. Steve began his career in the Morgan County Prosecutors office in 1978, prosecuted many major felonies, including the prosecution of the notorious Stephen Judy murder trial.

Steve served as co-chair of the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Foundation’s Trial Seminar for seventeen years, from the program’s inception in 1997 through 2014. Steve has been designated as Super Lawyer since 2007 and as one of the Best Lawyers in Indiana in the area of personal injury litigation. His practice is focused on assisting clients in seeking recovery for serious injury from those responsible for their loss. Steve has successfully represented the injured in their recovery against some of the largest companies in America, including Textron, Siemens, Wal-Mart and Stanley Bostitch.

 Additionally, Steve has been nominated as Best Lawyers in Indiana in the area of criminal defense. He has had the honor of representing a number of high profile defendants in criminal proceedings in Indiana. Steve is also a registered mediator for over 16 years. In that capacity, Steve has enjoyed helping other attorneys in obtaining successful resolution of their client’s dispute.

Steve is a member of the Morgan County Bar Association, Indiana Bar Association, the Indianapolis Bar Association, the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association College of Fellows, Life Fellow, and has been a member of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association (Director, Emeritus 1992-present), is a past president of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Foundation, and is a member of the American Association of Justice(1984-present).

Outside of the office, Steve enjoys golfing, cycling, hiking and spending time with his nine grandchildren and family. He is a member of St. Martin of Tours Parish where he is a Cantor and an active choir member.
