However, her strong suit and most adventitious skill was in presenting and reviewing with the judge the state/department of corrections own risk review tool. She demonstrated the pros to the doc, the community, and the de...fendants of limited incarceration and enhanced home monitoring. Without the use of the DOCs own tools, the sentencing would have been years, nearly a decade. Mrs. Maryan successfully reduced that to home incarceration where the defendant could, in fact, continue to be a productive member of society, and his children would not have to depend on the state for support. I would recommend her to anyone in any situation.

In an almost impossible case, with video recording, and a seemingly unfair prosecutor/judge, she proved self-defense in a most difficult case. I was placed in a very unfortunate and difficult situation due to a relationship that ended. The other person decided to use the law as a convenience to ending our relationship without explanation. Absolutely phenomenal experience with Dorie. She handled my wife’s federal case. That had many charges of forgery. She was faces MANY MANY YEARS in federal prison. There was so many charges that the state just wrapped them all up into one big charge, well she handled it very well what could have turn...ed in to 30 years turned out to be 24 mounts in a federal women’s camp in Ky. She will serve 20 MO’s of the 24 and will be home sometime in or around Aug or Sept to do serve the rest of her time at home detention or halfway house/work release program.
