We have retained Dorie on two separate occasions to help us deal with charges faced by our daughter. A friend recommended Dorie Maryian, He had used her to defend his son, and knew I had not only been arrested, but had an existing felony. While I was on probation for an unrelated charge. I was facing 2 1/2 years for this new charge, plus 6 yrs for a violation of my probation, because I had a new ch...arge. All the reviews I have found for her have been 5 star, except 1 and I think that review was for someone other than Dorie. As we went to trial where I sat and listened to the prosecutor badmouth me. Lie about me, and the events of the day, Dorie calmly worked the room and all of their witnesses as smoothly as she worked the legal system. In the end she brought in a “Not Guilty” verdict, kept the peace with my probation officer, and smoothed out everything in my life. As she did all of this she was able to keep me calm for the 10 months it took to tour our “speedy trial” system. After completion of the trial, She was even able to discount the cost a little. Although she is making a living, outcome seemed to be as big an issue as money. Credentials, Comfort, and Cost. She NAILED all 3 with a smile on her face. Dorie is the ONLY attorney I will ever use. Not that I want to think I will ever need an attorney again. But she is my Super Star.

This is the most important review I have ever left in my life, and I hope it helps others who are seeking an attorney for help in Indiana. Dorie Maryan saved years of my son's life where he otherwise would have sat in jail longer, and eventually prison. My son was arrested on interstate 70 while dr...iving from California with his production company to an event they were going to set up. He was in a sound engineers truck that was not his, and he was riding as a passenger. He made a mistake, he got into a vehicle that had massive amounts of narcotics that he did not know about, and when the truck was pulled over it was all over. He and two other young men were arrested and thrown in jail and they were charged with several felonies and a misdemeanor, and were facing 15 years in prison! Just like that in the blink of an eye their lives changed forever! It was absolutely horrific! That being said, we needed an attorney in Indiana, we live in California, and when I found Dorie through attorney reviews I just knew we had found our attorney! She was instantly kind, caring and compassionate to our situation and she put my heart and mind at ease as much as she possibly could in the moment as I was very very upset. I instantly felt cared for and I knew my son would be OK. She jumped in and she just went to work immediately to take control of the situation and get the right legal process going on behalf of my son. She was honest and upfront with us about the process and she more than held our hands the entire way through, she practically carried us. We had very strong convictions about my son's innocence, BUT, Dorie helped us to understand that laws of "Guilty by Association" and what a jury might conclude and find him guilty, so we did what was best for my son's life so he could go on and we accepted a plea. I'm so grateful that we didn't go to trial and risk unnecessary prison time, and I know that Dorie's advice to accept the plea came from her heart as a parent as well. We made the decision to do what was best, the Judge listened to her and took everything Dorie explained in the courtroom into consideration, and my son is now able to go on with his life and put this behind him. I must also explain that we had hired another attorney prior to finding Dorie and we were very very let down with his communication and lack of compassion, so when I quickly switched gears and found Dorie it was like a true breath of fresh air. She cares, she communicates, she educates and she eventually wins the battle! I recommend to all who are going through a legal situation to call Dorie and talk to her BEFORE you go anywhere else. I can't stress enough how important it is to have the right attorney on your side fighting for you, and Dorie is absolutely that attorney! She doesn't mess around, trust me, she's small but mighty and she will get you to the other side!

Mrs. Maryan did an excellent job of character building in a sentencing trial. However, her strong suit and most adventitious skill was in presenting and reviewing with the judge the state/department of corrections own risk review tool. She demonstrated the pros to the doc, the community, and the de...fendants of limited incarceration and enhanced home monitoring. Without the use of the DOCs own tools, the sentencing would have been years, nearly a decade. Mrs. Maryan successfully reduced that to home incarceration where the defendant could, in fact, continue to be a productive member of society, and his children would not have to depend on the state for support. I would recommend her to anyone in any situation.

I was placed in a very unfortunate and difficult situation due to a relationship that ended. The other person decided to use the law as a convenience to ending our relationship without explanation.
