Mr. Daniel K. Whitehead is a man of integrity who not only aggressively defends his clients with great passion, but also with empathy. He takes each case personally and maintains relationships with his clients long after the case is resolved. My wife and I are very close friends with a married... couple that were about to unjustly be separated for a possible 4 1/2 years as the husband was facing this amount of incarceration time (a level 6 felony and class A misdemeanor). The night of the incident, several teenagers who were on drugs and plotting to kill the husband and wife with rat poison for insurance money. When the husband intervened and threatened to call the police, the teenagers devised a plan of their own. They managed to devise a convincing story to accuse the husband of battering his wife. They matched up their stories, called the police, an arrest was made and charges filed. As such, the husband was forbidden to contact his wife until the trial was over (which could have 6 months or more). It seems as though Mr. Whitehead felt passionate about this case as he could personally relate to wrongful way this couple had been treated by the legal system . As a result, Mr. Whitehead was able to enlighten the prosecutor into realizing the full story and situation (what REALY happened and why). Mr. Whitehead resolved the case three months before the trial was scheduled to take place. The husband was able to avoid a highly publicized and expensive trial and was able to go back home to his wife, who was very distraught over the situation.
