Top notch

It won’t take long for you to realize that you’re dealing with someone who rises above the rest. He was the only lawyer that showed interest to take my call after his paralegal put my call through with the same information I gave everyone else I called. He put his heart into his work every step of th...e way and he humbly showed he really cares. When he was out of the office with a family member in the hospital he didn’t hesitate to return my email. I could just feel he was motivated from the start to do what is right with respect to my legal issue. If law was an exact science we wouldn’t need a lawyer. His understanding of how the law nuances pertained to my case almost made me feel his thinking is one with the court and as a result landed me on the best shade of gray in this not so black and white world of law. Coincidentally, unbenounced the opposing lawyer had represented me in the past and I could see all along the respect they had for one another which is always useful when finding the best possible outcome which may involve some type of compromise. It was a whole experience not only on an interpersonal level but with everyone involved within his firm from the lawyer working under him right down to the paralegal and not to mention with the unobjective court as it pertained to my case. I can’t imagine having any better possible outcome if given the opportunity to choose any high profile lawyer.

Very Poor Quality Lega Representation

I hired Miller for an appeal. His appeal lacked the grounds that was mentioned in the notice of appeal. It is my opinion that his quality of performance was extremely poor. Miller did not return my phone calls after he was paid. Office staff were rude. It is my recommendation that anyone seeking le...gal advice or counsel seek elsewhere.

Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, we are ethically confined in responding to your allegations with regard to your specific case, particularly because your appeal remains pending. However, it is important to respond generally so as to address the concerns. The appellate process can sometimes be confusing and frustrating with regard to what can and cannot be presented to the Court of Appeals. For example, appellate counsel is not able to investigate and present new evidence; appellate counsel cannot file a motion for a new trial; appellate counsel cannot file a new, independent action based on civil or other legal theories at the appellate level. We receive and review the trial court transcript along with the notice of appeal. However, it is also important to understand that we must independently review the notice of appeal and transcript and make decisions as to what course to pursue. In other words, if trial counsel or a pro se litigant files a notice of appeal and we are appointed, we cannot simply pursue the course set forth in the notice of appeal – particularly if that proposed course calls for unsubstantiated or legally deficient claims. It would be unethical to do otherwise. Additionally, it is important to note that when counsel is appointed on a case, like in this instance, whether it be on an appellate basis or otherwise, the client does not pay counsel nor hire counsel. We are appointed by the Court, which triggers the notification from the Court making the client aware of counsel’s role and providing all pertinent contact information. It also triggers our office to dispatch a similar letter to the client. We then thoroughly review the transcript; conduct extensive research and draft an appeal brief based on the grounds for appeal that have proper legal and factual support and which our appellate court has the power to hear and decide. Accordingly, we apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced with our services. We take client satisfaction very seriously at our firm. However, we take more seriously the ethical compass that we must follow in fulfilling our role as legal counsel. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office directly and we will certainly be more than happy to assist you further.

Best attorney I have ever dealt with

I’ve dealt with a few attorneys int he Dayton area, and Mr. Miller was easily the best one. Michael was in constant contact with me throughout the entire process of reinstating my license. He walked me through each step and updated me as he gathered information. Even if I had not had a favorable outc...ome (I did!), this was the best attorney experience I have ever had. Thanks again!

Identity Theft Collections Resolution

I was the unfortunate victim of identity theft in years prior. I believed I had resolved all the issues surrounding this, however an account that was fraudulently opened found its way to a creditor who filed suit against me. Mr. Miller listened to my issue and quickly established contact with opposi...ng counsel in an attempt to resolve the issue outside of the court room. Mike continually communicated with me as the case progressed and negotiated on my behalf with the opposing party. At the end of the day, Mr. Miller established that there was no question the fraudulent account could be connected to myself and filed a motion for summary judgment which was subsequently granted by the court. Mike Miller was both professional and forthright in all communications between us and answered all my inquires in a timely fashion. If you need a personable attorney who will speak with you so you understand everything that is happening regarding your case, Mike is the lawyer for you. I cannot speak highly enough of Mike. A class act and an exceptional attorney.

I thought I was stuck because of the "AS IS", yet Mr. Miller fought up hill for me and WON my case! NEVER OVERCHARGED,WOULD CALL ME OFTEN, ALWAYS RET CALLS PROMPT, and was always a pleasure to speak ...with, NO BETTER ATTORNEY, Dan A.
