April represented me in a child custody case. I had made some terrible choices in my life which resulted in me having supervised visitation with my children. Within a few weeks of my retaining April, the supervised visits were dropped from the order since I am doing well and have turned my life aro...und. I obtained attorney April Marlett for her services for a traffic violation. I was cited for Wreckless Op. and this would have been my 2nd moving violation within 12 months. There was a mandatory court appearnace and I knew for sure my drivers license was at risk, which I cannot afford to lose since... I travel and drive for work. I was very stressed about the situation and April stayed on top of it, had great communication with me throughout the entire process. The results she got for me were amazing. She arranged for the violation to be completely dismissed as long as I didn't get pulled over or obtained any additional moving violations for the next 6 months. So I was extra careful for the next 6 months and the citation was dismissed, as if it never happened! I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. No record of the citation, no points on my driving record, no increase in insurance costs. As if it just disappeared! I've used a few other attorneys for various speeding tickets and moving violations and never have I been able to get as good of an outcome as I did with using Attorney April Marlett. I thought the first time that I lost, it was my fault. I had a work disput which wasnt a big deal concerning a customer that owed me money. I took that one in stride. Then a few months later my divorce came up, I called her weeks leading to the hearing and everything was fine, I was told everything w...as stardard procedure, but when we got to court, I was in the waiting room and I over heard her negotiating with my ex's attoney, saying "I'll pitch this deal to him, I think he'll go for it, I dont care I just want this to be over". I was shocked I didnt know what to do. She stated that it was the only option that I had was to pay my ex for everything, I mean things that we didnt even talk about.. This was not our game plan, then basically told me that she would walk out and not represent me. So in the end I lost about 18k I should have just gave all the accounts over to my ex wife and walked away and not sought out an attorney. I thought that I was fighting for something but all I did was lose more money and create more headaches for myself. I believe if I would of had a different lawyer it would have ended differently, my buddy reffered her bc she was so on top of things for his case in the beginning, but I guess I could count myself lucky because he got it worse than me(finding out just recently).
