We were refered to April spur of the moment when we decided to fight for custody of one of our foster kids. April jumped right in on the case, gathered information and ensured things got filed. She was very straight forward with us. She was the one who gave us the idea for visitation. If we couldn't ...get custody we could get visitation and be party to any future happenings with the child. Able to still be a part of his life and keep him safe. She truly cared about our case. Her love for children shows in her knowledge of children services. We will definatly come to her with any future cases. We can not thank her enough for all she did.

April was and is Amazing!!! God sent her to us when we needed her most. We were foster parents and heading toward adoption with our foster son. However, the county director tried to move our son to another family (she has a relationship with that family) for them to adopt him. April stepped up to the... task and fought for us the entire way! We were matched with our foster son and just adopted him! Had it not been for April, the director would have overturned the decision and we would have lost our son whom we had had since he left the NICU. She was always there when we needed her. I could count on her at anytime and when I was having anxiety over the case she was there to help me off the ledge ; ) She is professional, caring, and truly does what is in the best interest of the children! I highly recommend her!!! If she doesn’t know the way, she will find it!!

I had a little girl left with me (but not biologically mine) from a previous marriage for 6 years when all of the sudden her biological mom came out of the woodwork to see her daughter. I got April’s name from a person my current husband works with and from the first time we met, April assured me tha...t everything was going to be okay. I had talked to at least 8 other attorneys that said that I should give up hope because the biological mother was going to win or they weren’t confident that they could win the case. But not April. April was ready. She was kind but she spoke the truth-every time. I appreciate that. Especially in my times of panic at all the court hearings we had to go to and all the drama and emotions that court brings for me. April kept in constant contact with me anytime something happened with the case and she always made sure that she and I were on the same page. Her personality is perfect for her job. She never loses her cool. No matter what. April represented me well and kept the best interest of the child as the high priority in this case. I have ZERO complaints about her. God definitely put her on my path for a reason. We ended up in agreement between the biological parents and my husband and I and this little girl gets to stay with the family that has raised her and the best part is that all of her parents now get along for her! April will be the first and only person I call if myself or my family needs an attorney in the future! THANK YOU APRIL!! You are nothing short of amazing!!!

When an adoption situation became messy, April helped us bring our baby home.
