This is who you need!

April is a precise, well orchestrated, professional and compassionate about the law and her clients. As a mother that was deliberately kept away from her daughter bc the father was on the run, hoping around and controlling about the situation, April was exactly who I needed. Getting a lawyer is sca...ry, your money, your time, your trust has to go into a person that you sit in an office and meet. I met April, told her my story and she had a plan right away. I had went through several police departments, tried to get CPS involved and everything, I couldn't bc I didn't have his address and I had nobody to help me find him. I was lucky enough to check county jails to find him in jail and got the addres. The next day, I met with April. As a mother, that gave birth to this child and had to go through so many hoops just to get her, it was terrifying everyday. April was more than a lawyer, that word can easily be dropped for me..anytime I felt a crisis was rising, my anxiety got the best of me, she reassured me she had my back and we would win. She's so intelligent, knows the law, knows the right questions to ask and is very personable. She's a firecracker in court, if you will. My daughter experienced quite a bit of trauma bouncing from house to house, her dad always being in jail and him leaving her with whatever women was suitable at the time. Today we made pancakes, wrote our ABCs, played with chalk, messed around with the dollhouse and was able to let her simply be a child. How do you thank someone for that? She's more than a Lawyer, she's a good person and fights for what's right in this world. Who else would you want on your side?

Trustworthy lawyer

April Marlett was recommended to me from a good friend. She's been my lawyer for over 4 years and I would not trade her for anyting. She was my lawyer through my divorce and helped me accomplish this with great success. I've been thoroughly pleased with her services and continued to be impressed with... her knowledge of the law. She continues to guide me and councils me in any legal needs I mite have. As the father of two kids it was extremely helpful having her perspective in understanding of how things work not only in legal needs but family too. As an example if I did not understand or had difficulty accepting somethng she would take the time to explain. I found that she was very well organized and the time was very well spent staying on task. Given my divorce almost took 3 years to finalize April is not one to settle, she will help you accomplish your goals. I don't believe that I will ever find a better lawyer than what I currently have now with April Marlat. I will continue to recommend her to my friends and anybody else that will have a need for her services.

Residential parent victory

April worked on my residential parenting case that resulted in a victory for my son and me. I live in Columbus and my case was in Clinton County, where my ex-wife lives. The odds were certainly not in our favor, to say the least. A father trying to gain residential parent status 1.5hrs away from t...he mother.... The first visit I had with April I asked if my case was worth taking, she said yes. I then asked if she would take the case even if she knew that the outcome would be a loss, she said absolutely not and to get a second opinion if I wanted. Needless to say that I did not get a second opinion and decided that April was the right attorney for me. Over the next year or so she checked in once a month or so to make sure I didn’t have any questions or if anything new pertaining to the case came up. Anytime I had a question or needed to consult I could call or email and knew that I would get a response typically the same day, if not the next day. Long story short April was great to work with and she got the job done! Fingers crossed I never have to use her again but if that changes, without hesitation April will be the one I call.

We will ALWAYS return...

We are "lifers" and have returned to April MANY times to resolve custody, child support and any other family court issues we have. We wouldn't go any place else! She never steers us wrong and is always there looking out for our best interest as well as the kids. We recommend her all the time!
