I used Mr. Allen for my Chapter 13. When I started, he and his wife were very responsive. However during the 5 years of my payment plan, they became less and less responsive. I am now at the end of my plan and can't get a response to save my life. I've sent multiple emails regarding my questions about my final payments (when do they actually end, etc.) and nothing. I finally had to call the trustee to get the answers they should be providing. Very disappointing as they were paid to represent me until final discharge which they are not doing.
Mr. Allen failed at giving me any advice. He basically did the bare minimum. He didn't tell me what to expect. He didn't discuss strategy with me. It was like he just wanted to get the case over with as opposed to helping me navigate the legal waters.
It was difficult to get time with him. He didn't return my calls. He didn't even let me know he was in the courthouse, so I sat for two hours wondering what was going on.
I ended up forfeiting my retainer and going to another lawyer.

We have a standard process that we go through when a case is nearing the end of the plan. Without knowing who this client was it is difficult to comment on his/her claims. However, we give every client's case the utmost attention from the time it is filed until the discharge is issued.
