I have used Mr. Merklin over the course of many years to represent me against some of the top lawyers in Franklin County. He is an exceptional attorney! He prevented me from losing my home to divorce and having to pay $70k in credit card debt accrued by my former husband during our marriage. Mr Merklin represented me in a divorce and custody hearing a few years ago. My ex-wife used a high profile Columbus attorney. I found Mr. Merklin to show integrity, and did far more work for me than the other attorney representing my ex-wife. I found Mr Merklin well prepared, sympathetic to my need, ...and offered sound legal advice. I ended up with a fair divorce, and was able to settle the custody case outside of a hearing.

If you want to lose your case, then this is your guy. He was ill-prepared. Did not have documentation ready. Used my NOTES (that I just happened to have with me on day of trial) as exhibits. MY NOTES were never meant to be exhibits. I had a whole website complete with my story, easy to print out docu...mentation, which I showed him at our initial meeting (but never read or used any of it). In fact he never got on the website after I left his office (I had a tracking mechanism which counts anytime he would have gotten on). When in court, I knew five minutes into the case, we were going to lose. His presentation was a total joke. It was fragmented and unorganized. I could go on but I think you got the point. Merklin is an ill-prepared lawyer that needs to go to toastmasters to learn how to speak. If you want to win your case, LOOK ELSEWHERE.

Mr. Merklin accepted my custody case at the last minute, completely saving the day for me. I won shared parenting for my young daughter as a result of Mr. Merklin's knowledge, skill and care for my case.
