A graduate of Euclid High School in Euclid, Ohio, Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania (B.A.), the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University (J.D.), and the Beasley School of Law at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (LL.M). Adam VanHo is President of VanHo Law.
Prior to starting VanHo Law, VanHo served as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Montgomery County, Ohio and Summit County, Ohio. He was also an Assistant Attorney General in the Ohio Attorney General's Office. He was also an attorney at the Akron law firm of Burdon and Merlitti and founding partner of Judge and VanHo.
VanHo represents a wide variety of clients -- ranging from business execitives and government officials to indigent clients, for whom Adam is often asked by judges to repreesnt. He has successfully represented clients throughout Ohio in trial and appellate courts, as well as helped his clients avoid litigation or trial when it is in the best interests of his clients.
VanHo is currently representing former White House Press Secretary and Director of Communications Stephanie Grisham in a lawsuit brought by her ex-boyfriend and Ohio Congressional candidate Max Miller. In January of 2022, he joined over 460 other international diplomats, scholars, human rights and legal experts in calling for a United Nations investigation into the 1988 massacre of political prisoners in Iran. VanHo was also an author of an amicus curiae brief in Mahanoy Area School District v. B.L., 594 U.S. ___ (2021), in which he supported the First Amendment rights of a high school student.
VanHo has served as a legal commentator for a number of news outlets and newspapers.
VanHo is licensed to practice before all state courts in Ohio; the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio; the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio; the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania; the United States Court of International Trade; the United States Tax Court; the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces; the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit; the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit; and the United States Supreme Court. VanHo is also a member of hte List of Counsel for the International Criminal Court.
VanHo is married and lives with his family in Munroe Falls. He currently is Vice Chair of the Munroe Falls, Ohio Planning Commission.
He is also the founder of the Raging River Coffee Company and an avid cyclist.
