We retained Ms. Clark for a custody matter and once we paid the $5000 retainer, which we never received a contract or receipt for, she almost completely quit answering messages or calls. Ms. Clark promised to immediately file custody papers, and both times she failed to do so as promised. Then, when ...the issue cam before the magistrate, James Palmquist instead of Ms. Clark appeared at the hearing. Mr. Palmquist, obviously unprepared, bullied our daughter into signing an agreement that even the magistrate seemed to question, and which has caused complete chaos. When we fired them, they refunded about $1800, but they kept over $3200, for which we have yet to receive an expense breakdown nearly 2 months later. We have retained new counsel who are now burdened with trying to undo the mess the Palmquist's firm has created. We intend to pursue this with the Ohio Bar Association and are considering other action.
