Not enough, must have work authorization (EAD, green card, OPT etc.).

Yes. They can still approve it despite not yet living together depending on the reasons (work, school etc.). But it’s better if you’re living...

It means they are reviewing it. And yes, it can still get approved. On how long it takes, it depends on how complex the case is.
