Karen Lynn Hummel

I hired Karen from "thumbtack" to represent me. I paid her a retainer and also paid her for filing my paperwork. She texted me my court date and said she didn't need for me to bring anything. Days leading up, I texted her and noticed she hadn't been responding. Called my local court to confirm my app...ointment and they said there wasn't any court date or anything filed under my name. She has yet to respond as I have reached out numerous times for a refund and understanding. DO NOT give this lady your money. Go to a credible source. I contacted her in December 2021, my court date was in May 2022 but the last time we spoke was February 2022. She hasn't reached out or anything after taking my money.

If I could give negative stars I would, From the start I should of known Attorney Hummel wasn't a good fit when she didn't show up to court at all the first time and showed up almost two hrs late the next hearing. She never responds in a timely many, most times she would either not respond at all o...r respond weeks later after I've continuously reached out. She has not done anything pertaining to my current case, has not filed not one motion, continuance, or subpoena after I've asked repeatedly. I've asked her to withdraw from my case, so I can obtain more effective counsel, and I also requested my retainer back, as well as filed a formal complaint with the supreme court of Ohio and I still have not heard from her. I've never had a horrible attorney until now. I guess it's a first time for everything.
