So, the decision was made, I'm getting a divorce. What is the next step? Walking into to the office of Steve August was the best decision I've made. It was not an easy time in my life, but with the help of this amazing and caring attorney, and his secretary, I could see the light at the end of th...e tunnel. From the first meeting till the last day (the final court day) he had given me the best advice, and received the best results I could ever dream of. I would definitely recommend him, because he is not only the best at what he does, he is also a mensch!!!!

Steve August was amazing when I went through my divorce this year. I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted, what the procedure was, or how my decisions, while going through the divorce, would affect my life down the road. In the very first discussions we had, he was vehement about going for everything t...hat was owed to me and frankly said if this wasn't something I was comfortable with, he wasn't the lawyer for me. He's empathetic and positive and thorough. He's a good listener (the poor thing) and is very, very good at what he does. I had a friend text me recently about her divorce day in court and she was worried he ex husband was hijacking the negotiations. My immediate response was "you have Steve. Listen to him and everything will be fine." Steve is not just a damn good lawyer, he's a nice person. Jo Ellen, his assistant was amazing as well - empathetic and responsive to all the highs and lows. Thanks to both of them for getting me through one of the worst times of my life.

I was involved in a long drawn out divorce proceeding, and at times it was difficult to maintain perspective on all the moving parts. Steve was able to guide me through it while focusing on my number one priority-my children. Steve always handles himself professionally and it was clearly evident to... me that he is greatly respected by his peers and colleagues in the courts and Family Services. It is hard for me to put into words all that Steve did to help my children and I become the new post divorce family that we are today. I was scared and at times unsure how to proceed. Steve talked with me at great length about my options and supported me in the decisions I made. He knew that my prima...ry concern was my children and he managed my case with that in mind. There were times when I considered throwing in the towel because getting divorced is stressful and Steve (and Jo) helped me through those moments. Steve is a fighter, a stand up guy, kept his word, did all that he said that he would. He is passionate, dedicated, and committed and I felt that he was willing to do whatever it would take to help me. I truly do not know how he is able to do all that he does for his clients!
