Bad lawyer caution do not attempt

So we got this lawyer referred to us from a friend and its the worst mistake ever he dosent return calls he dosent nofity you of court .then u receive notice that u have a warrent for your arrest for not attending court that was scheduled and u didn't get notified for it ....so u do the right th...ing and go turn yourself n for not attend court because u wasn't aware that u even had court because he never notified you of it he decides to file a motion on your case and then he decicde to not file court date for your release even thoe u have a bond already posted so he decided to just leaves u in ther for 2weeks with no update about your husband when u have a husband thats n ther with severe mental illness that takes medication. That dosent receive it while being in jail and is put. Into a cell with black mold up the walls when he's asthmatic and dosent deserve this kind of brush off ....you get tierd of being blown off from no news from the lawyer so you decide to go to the designated address on the court docket to get your Money back that u paid him for not doing his job and you find out its a scam and he falsifying documents n giving an address on the Court dockets that ends up being a tax office that has never heard of him instead of a law firm that is on the official state court dockets that says there a law office ther and ther isn't then u find out u gotta file your own court date to get yourself out of jail he is a joke and he need to be penalized for not doing his job he dose not need to be no lawyer he dosent deserve the title of one and hey look at the bright side I heard mcdondals is always hiring he would be better off working for them im sure makeing a buger is easier then being a lawyer anyday

Takes your money but doesn't do any work!

I was referred to Gary by a friend. Regarding family court. He said he could help me and would give me a discount on the retainer. I have only received 3 text messages from him in 1 1/2 months. He took my money ,knowing it was a lot to me, and disappeared.

No contact

I will be filing a complaint with the Ohio Bar Association. Was hired and once he was paid - he did not return my calls or my emails.

Do NOT recommend

Was referred to him by another attorney to File some necessary documents to finalize a case. Paid him up front to do so. Never filed these documents. Does not return phone calls or respond to emails or correspondence.

I was misrepresented

In my criminal case, there were a myriad of extenuating circumstances that could be easily explained even though the case is admittedly complex. I was told to plead guilty because according to Mr. Vick, "there is no defense in this situation," This is in spite of my doctor, p.o. and other lawyers ...I've spoken with. Then he never told me what exactly I would be pleading to. I've never been through the system so I just assumed it would be sort of a blanket statement plea and then we would work on the sentencing portion which through 3 doctors established that the chance for repeat offenses was low if at all. However when I got to court the judge read off several things I had supposedly plead to that were far beyond anything I imagined or that we had discussed. The things we had discussed were things I SPECIFICALLY said would not be okay with me. He made the decision to plea to them anyway and I never heard about then until I heard them from the judges mouth. Completely blindsided. There are no circumstances where this is okay. Now I'm stuck trying to find an attorney I can trust then hoping I can reverse my plea. He failed to give me a receipt for a large portion of my retainer fee and has made excuse after excuse as to why he hasn't sent or given it to me. I had difficulty even getting him on the phone for the first 2 months of the case. He has this tag line where he swings his fist and says "I will fight like hell for you" It's rehearsed fiction. I've heard that nonsense repeatedly and now I'm left in the legal battle of my life trying to scrape up yet another retainer and find a new attorney . If you're considering suucide, he's your guy.
