Biography
A lifelong Cleveland resident and third-generation attorney, Rod Mastandrea combines local roots with more than ten years of focused criminal-defense experience. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from The Ohio State University (Dean’s List) and a J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law (2008). During law school he worked at the Cuyahoga County Office and later practiced as an associate at Luftman Heck & Associates before founding and serving as managing partner of his firm, representing clients throughout greater Cleveland and neighboring counties. Admitted to the Ohio bar in 2009 and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio in 2012, Rod emphasizes tailored legal strategies and attention to detail. He pursues ongoing training—including the Driver Intervention Program seminars through Alternative Horizons—and earned Avvo Clients’ Choice recognition in 2015, with top ratings for criminal and sex-crime defense. He is active in NACDL, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, CCDLA, and the Ohio Association of Magistrates.
