A Passion for Law, Teaching and Music: When I entered law school, I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do with it when I graduated, but I’ve always had a passion for fairness, a fascination with business and risk, and admiration and respect for entrepreneurs and business owners who face risk every day.  The law should be accessible and practical, but that is rarely the case, and it is an attorney’s responsibility to bridge those gaps with communication that is straight-forward and legal services that are cost-effective, whether the client is an individual, a middle market business, a nonprofit organization or a publicly held company. 

Prior to law school, I worked as a teacher with students ranging from 5th grade to undergraduate, and classes ranging from 4 students to 100+.  I use my passion and enthusiasm for learning, and for helping others, every day in my legal practice with my clients and my colleagues.  

Music has been a driving force in my life and in the lives of many of my friends and colleagues.  While my favorite genres are jazz and related styles that involve improvisation, I am also a conservatory-trained musician with great appreciation for all styles of music.  With a legal practice and a family, the horn doesn’t get out of the case as much as it once did, but in the meantime, I remain a strong supporter of live music, music education and the arts in general.
