AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Overall, I had a very negative experience meeting with James L Lindon and would not recommend him to anyone, unless you want to waste 295 dollars leaving there with more questions than answers and sitting on his office floor for almost 2 hours during the meeting. My parents and I were seeking immedia...te legal advice concerning patents about a specific product. He works out of his residence and when we went into his office, he informed us that one of us would have to stand for 2 hours because there are only 2 chairs in the room. When asked if he had another chair available anywhere in the house that he can bring (there was plenty of room to sit in the hallway near the entrance to his office if he brought a chair), he told us that he didn't, so one of us ended up sitting on the floor for the majority of the meeting which was extremely rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional. Not only was he rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional, he was also not informative. Most of the answers to our questions consisted of him repeating definitions of what a patent was. Avoid at all costs.

Replied last September 12, 2015

He came to my office with his mommy and daddy. He and his parents repeated that their "invention" was patentable. Apparently, they wanted a patent application filed that had zero chance of success. I could not ethically file a frivolous patent application. He is correct that I explained to him, or at least tried, OVER AND OVER about patentable subject matter and that his "invention" legally could not be granted a patent. Assuming they did not file a patent application anyway, it was the best $295 they ever spent. It saved them much more money on a frivolous patent application. In the year 2010, the game "corn hole" is no longer considered new. Sorry about that. Lesson: either listen to your patent lawyer or plan to waste your money. Your lawyer should tell you what you NEED to hear, not what you WANT to hear.

Thanks so much for your legal assistance with my small business!!!!!

He has helped me numerous times with my eBay business and in the area of copyright infringement allegations and learning how to copyright my items that I have developed. He has a special expertise and is the best and most professional lawyer I have ever worked with.

James’s comment:

“This was based on a single allegation of disorderly conduct - nothing to do with the practice of law. Use extreme caution when viewing Avvo. Avvo lies. Lawyers do NOT provide free legal advice here. Avvo has a "rating system" like Google in the same way that I play basketball like Michael Jordan. Avvo's rating system is deceptive to consumers.”
