My wife and I used John Lewandowski to complete our estate planning. Mr. Lewandowski was professional, friendly, a great communicator, and made things easily understandable for us as we made decisions regarding our estate. I would definitely use Mr. Lewandowski's services for future litigation needs....

John Lewandowski used an outdated form for the state of Ohio and also completed forms incorrectly for estate planning, causing the forms to be rejected by the end recipient. He also deleted the original documents He created and did not have them as a reference when I had follow up questions (less tha...n 2 months after initial correspondence and while we were still awaiting final confirmation/acceptance from the end recipient). I certainly understand and respect that mistakes can occur; the core issue was not the mistakes that were made, but his unwillingness and lack of professionalism to fix the issues and correct the forms. I had to find a new lawyer to finish the work he started--and that he was paid in full for--but that he did not complete correctly. He was unwilling to correct the forms based on the end recipient's feedback and instead said the end recipient was wrong. He was completely unaware of, and unwilling to accept, his own mistakes in creating and filling out the legal paperwork. Further, he was inflexible in his way of thinking and trouble shooting problems, following only one formula/approach--even when that approach /formula was rejected (forms returned) by the end recipient. He did not care at all about customer satisfaction and took no steps to try to "right" the situation when I let him know I was unhappy with his legal services. I felt that he only cared about a pay check and did not sense that he takes pride in his work and a job well done. John Lewandowski is the most difficult and unprofessional lawyer I have ever worked with and while he likely has other, happy, clients, I am not one of them. I would not recommend his services.

John Lewandowski takes the time to listen. He always makes me feel welcome and never rushes our conversations. He is responsive to my concerns and provides thoughtful and timely analysis and insights. He explains the probate process, discusses options, and describes what happens next. He does this al...l while maintaining a positive attitude despite dealing with difficult and emotional situations surrounding probate. Strongly recommend.

Mom died! We live in Florida. My sister lives in Toledo and hired an attorney to assist her with probate. They spent months concocting a plan to eliminate us from any inheritance! When they sent us the final papers to sign to close the estate it was obviously full of false statements that would award... my sister the bulk of mom's estate (which consisted of less than $100,000) and us with less than $4000. Attorneys here in Florida said they couldn't help us because their license was valid only in Florida. We contacted a few lawyers in Toledo with no avail, all telling us there simply wasn't enough in the estate to cover their fee. Finally we were referred to John Lewandowski! When we called his office the receptionist connected us to his line and he actually answered his call! What a pleasant surprise to make a call that is answered by a live person rather than a recorded message. We explained our predicament of being out of state and how my sister and her lawyer submitted to us a proposal with a list of phony expenses that basically left very little in the estate. We told him we realized there wasn't enough money in the estate to warrant his time. We asked him if he would just construct one letter for a flat fee to send to our sister's attorney in hopes it would be enough to have them resubmit a more realistic proposal. John informed us that there were items in the proposal that were not actually legal under Ohio law. He said it just isn't fair what your sister's lawyer is attempting to do. He agreed to send a letter for us. One letter turned into several phone calls and emails before we finally received a fair settlement. Never once did John complain or even mention anything about having to do so much more than what we agreed to. He is truly a compassionate person with the utmost empathy for others. He is the true interpretation of the words integrity & trustworthy! We are so thankful he was referred to us and would definitely recommend him. John updated our old wills, created a trust, and prepared living wills. He was very knowledgeable, offering suggestions when husband & I were unsure of how to handle some aspects, and he was very patient in explaining specific language and its intent. The process was an efficient, positive experien...ce, and it was handled with total professionalism. We now have peace of mind knowing our affairs are in order and our final wishes documented.
