Please read all poor reviews They are spot on!

Will tell you what you want to hear and when the retainer is cleared your out 5k. If the case requires him to do anything other than show up for the court date your on your own. You will be your own paralegal and still that will not be enough. And when it came time for litigation everything that we s...aid we agreed upon and agreement that was met with other party involved was not the same as the agreement letter written so I did not sign and return. I was then called by him asking why I would not sign the papers and I told him I didn’t agree to what was in the papers he then tried to say that was what was agreed upon and if I didn’t sign them he would no longer represent me and I’d be out the money I already paid him. Not only did he take my money and run with it the attorney that referred him to me took 2k as well just for referring him.

Highly Recommended

John represented me in a sensitive litigation case that required a lot of tact. He is very knowledgeable and lived up to my expectations. John is an excellent communicator and pays attention to details. I like his demeanor and personality. He has earned my respect and will use him again should i find... the need.

Dr.

John was hired as co-counsel for a will contest against my brother and sister here in Youngstown/Mahoning County. He was here numerous times, was always available via cell phone or email and kept me constantly updated. This was over a 6 month period. He also kept in regular contact with the atty here... in town. The trial against my evil siblings was settled out of court as I could not have asked for anything better. Do not believe any negative reviews against Atty Lewandowski. I spent a considerable amount of money on attorney fees and depositions but it was well worth it. The decision ended up favorably for me mainly due to this man's tireless efforts. We will continue the friendship that developed between us and plan on keeping in touch and visiting regularly.

Made a mess of my case

A very big mistake, absolutely terrible representation. John was never was up to date with the details of my case, every conversation was a repeat of the same information that he was previously given, as he seemed to have retained nothing and was prepared for nothing. His inattentiveness to the case ...was truly beyond the pale. if you need a lawyer who can stay on top of your case and not do most the work yourself, look elsewhere. I ended up doing most of the work myself and ultimately had to hire another lawyer to fix his very costly mistakes. Of course it always makes you look bad when you switch lawyers.

Up the creek without a paddle!

Mom died! We live in Florida. My sister lives in Toledo and hired an attorney to assist her with probate. They spent months concocting a plan to eliminate us from any inheritance! When they sent us the final papers to sign to close the estate it was obviously full of false statements that would award... my sister the bulk of mom's estate (which consisted of less than $100,000) and us with less than $4000. Attorneys here in Florida said they couldn't help us because their license was valid only in Florida. We contacted a few lawyers in Toledo with no avail, all telling us there simply wasn't enough in the estate to cover their fee. Finally we were referred to John Lewandowski! When we called his office the receptionist connected us to his line and he actually answered his call! What a pleasant surprise to make a call that is answered by a live person rather than a recorded message. We explained our predicament of being out of state and how my sister and her lawyer submitted to us a proposal with a list of phony expenses that basically left very little in the estate. We told him we realized there wasn't enough money in the estate to warrant his time. We asked him if he would just construct one letter for a flat fee to send to our sister's attorney in hopes it would be enough to have them resubmit a more realistic proposal. John informed us that there were items in the proposal that were not actually legal under Ohio law. He said it just isn't fair what your sister's lawyer is attempting to do. He agreed to send a letter for us. One letter turned into several phone calls and emails before we finally received a fair settlement. Never once did John complain or even mention anything about having to do so much more than what we agreed to. He is truly a compassionate person with the utmost empathy for others. He is the true interpretation of the words integrity & trustworthy! We are so thankful he was referred to us and would definitely recommend him. John, we don't know if you read reviews or not but if you do please except our sincerest appreciation and thank you for all the extra time you spent for us. Ray & Connie
