I hired Mr. McCord to represent me back in July 2020 for a criminal matter at the behest of my mother. For 13 months, I attended lengthy pre-trial hearings with hopes that I would not have to serve any jail time yet one side of me believed in Mr. McCord’s capabilities as time went on. Surely enough h...e was able to get me a deal where I could have my charge expunged after 1 year, if I did not commit the same offense and I would only received computerized probation (non-reported). I had been fighting to get visitation with my son for 3 years through personal-out of court means. I finally broke down and started looking for a lawyer, and Mr. McCord is who I found. All was going well through the initial phase, and 'hearings', but when it came down to the final hearing, he had for...gotten to file a paper, so the final date to assign visitation privileges was postponed. When the second final hearing came about, when the judge walked into the courtroom, he asked where Mr. Mcord was. I had tried to call him several times, and had gotten no answers. *even the weeks after the court date, I heard nothing from Mr. Mcord* The judge threw the case out completely due to Mr. McCord's incompetence and lack of showing. Several months later, after MANY calls, messages, emails, and letters requesting reimbursement, Mr. Mcord wrote a check for $85 (out of an initial payment of $1500), handed it to my father-in-law to give to me. I contacted his secretary asking where the remainder was, and was very kindly informed that my father-in-law acted on my behalf, accepting the reimbursement, thus legally ending Mr. Mcords involvement in my case. I HIGHLY recommend that you find another lawyer.
