David Charles Watson Jr.

Watson advised me to sign a temporary order agreeing to pay more money per month than my salary pays. I expressed my concern at the time and he told me "don't worry about it". I trusted that he knew what he was doing. He is obviously incompetent. I had paid him $20K by the time I fired him. Now I a...m fighting a contempt order that is trying to collect $25K in back support that I cannot afford to pay. Watson also failed to let me know he was diagnosed with mental problems including ADD and anger issues. This began one month AFTER I hired him and he failed to let me know this. Whenever I expressed my concern, he would become angry and act like I was bothering him. He took no responsibility for his incompetency and would try to place the blame on someone else. Because of Watson's incompetency, I am $20K more in debt and facing jail time. I would have been better off representing myself

A lawyer that is so unorganized and doesn't show up to court so a bench warrant is issued! This lawyer is awful, he didn't keep me informed and I ultimately had to serve time in jail because he failed to do his job. I sought help from another lawyer who basically said that I got screwed by David C Wa...tson Jr. Unethical, immoral and unfit to be a lawyer in this state or any other.

Number of issues with this Lawyer, first, when we were negotiating the visitation of my child, I saw the initial Visitation schedule and agreed to it. Then when it came time to sign it, we recieved a modified version the day before court, and instead of going to court he called me and let me know we... were going to do this through affidavit instead and that I just needed to come sign it the next day, didn't let me know they had changed it and then we missed our court day because I read it the day of court and there was no time to change it. Basically I had to sign it or get nothing until we could schedule another hearing. He could have told me the changes on the phone but didn't. Second complaint turns out that the affidavit never got filed and I didn't have a visitation schedule at all. Found this out 3 months later, so what then I had no visitation scheduled and all the crap my ex had been pulling over the last 3 months didn't matter, she was allowed to do this! Never returned my calls, ansered my questions and just racked up my bill.
