Divorce when spouse in different country

Attorney White is amazing. She took time to understand my situation. I was married in India and my husband now my ex lives in India, I am in US with my 2 kids. She explained me details of the situation and urgency to serve him here in US when he visits for a very short period of time, with her help I... was able to serve him in NY just before he was about to leave the country. She also helped me with the venue waiver I accidentally filed my case in Franklyn county but I am a resident of union. I will definitely recommend Attorney White for handling your divorce case or someone's you know

Highly Recommend

I was referred to Catherine by a good friend and I could not have been more pleased with the choice. I was an unmarried/in the process of separating father who didn't understand the custody laws and rights of a man in my situation. Catherine helped me every step of the way with my custody case. Expla...ining laws and how she would work with them and handling every hurdle that came our way. We had to deal with my ex/daughter's mother who was less than cooperative at times and her divorce that was handled poorly made the custody case that much more difficult. It was a handful and a mess. Catherine worked diligently to not only get my rights to my daughter and a plan set in place for that but also worked with my daughter's mother very well in very difficult circumstances. She remained cool and explained the reasons for her actions when needed and ended unneeded chatter when it wasn't forwarding the conversation. She worked with my ex and got a plan in place that worked for everyone. I would highly recommend Catherine to anyone needing not only custody help but any kind of separation or divorce help or advice.

Advocate for Fathers

I wish the original review I drafted on my phone saved, so here's a shot at it again. Undoubtedly - Catherine is a great advocate for mothers too - but this is specifically written for fathers. I was referred personally to four separate attorneys and consulted all four before retaining Catheri...ne. Four. I am sure the other's knew the law and we're good referrals, but I didn't feel a connection back from any of them. They felt very uninterested in my matter and frankly, too busy for more. I walked into Catherine's office and minutes into our conversation, knew that we'd be a great team. Catherine was not only excellent at family law (as other reviews show) - she was an advocate through and through for me as the father. Understanding that I gave up my rights not long before we started working together still, she persisted with great confidence and when needed, unwavering guidance. I do not think I would have accomplished all we did (including avoid trial) without her extensive practice and knowledge of family law. It's confusing, it's not in favor of us father's, and it is mentally taxing which then can be physically damaging. Once on a path forward - I felt the weight of concern be lifted - this process is, A LOT OF WORK. YOU HAVE TO DO IT TOO (I am also recovering from alcohol and drug addiction). Before I couldn't even talk to my ex without extreme frustration and conflict. With Catherine's path, I felt that I had the confidence to begin to discover what co-parenting might look like. The Court's do not like these cases to "linger" back and forth, so you do not have time to sit, wait, and hope time will heal. It will not in this case. That's why it is required to have someone (like Catherine) who is educated well on the matter, connected (not in the pulling favors sense, but familiar to how magistrates will favor or react to certain actions and motions based on her time working locally in our courts), and a good judge of character. If you are clear, truthful, diligent, and really care of the fair and equitable interests of your children then you have found a perfect ally in the journey to settle whatever family matter you carry. I have -a path- to a future with my children - a path toward shared parenting rights, and an amazing future for my children, with me, their father in their lives. We're headed to a LONG weekend together this weekend, for the first time in several years. Bless. PS- [reminder] Just as a "consumer" of professional services myself, like those of attorney's - be respectful. Learn the importance of practicing mindfulness and patience. YOU are seeking someone for THEIR expertise, lay down your personal baggage at the door and let the person you are seeking for professional services do what they are passionate about and good at.

Child Custody

I’m a young college student who became a father of 3 kids in 2020. I didn’t plan to be a father that earlier but I didn’t take it for granted either. I loved being a dad but in the state of Ohio if your not married fathers had no rights to their kids unless they went to court. I had gotten 2 women pr...egnant and the same time and it was time for me to own up to men up and take care of my responsibility. Being a father to a girl first changed my life forever and then 5 months I had 2 sets of twins. Even though I was a full time dad and I was very involved with my kids I still didn’t have no rights to them and that really sucked. I know I had to get a great lawyer who could represent me because my kids are everything to me. I found Catherine White when I google top lawyers in the state of Ohio and I did my research on each one. The part that got my attention was the part that she is a real great listener and she doesn’t only want the best for you but for your kids as well. I hired Catherine to help me with both of my cases because I didn’t want to be a visiting dad that saw he’s kids few days out of the month. I want to be fully involved in my kids life’s and actually raise my kids. Catherine was so amazing with my first case for my daughter. She told me to just told me to just sit down with mom of my daughter and made us talk to each other and made us listen to one another without being disrespectful. Then she was a ale to get us on the same page where we where able to agree on share parenting and split everything in half. That case was close less then a month or 2 without anyone getting nasty with each other in court. For my second case for my twins mother it toke 2 hard long years before anything was solved. There where so much issues and drama that I was so stress out everyday and I was worried about my kids and the choices that mother was making on her own since I had no rights to my kids. Even when I was so angry at the mother of my kids Catherine always knew how to make me calm down and try to do this by the law and not taking measures in my own hands. Catherine is a very straight forward person that will tell you the truth even if you don’t like it or want to hear it. She doesn’t treat you like a client who is just trying to get money from but she honestly cares about you and your family. When I started I didn’t know what to except or what to do but she guided me and even thought I didn’t have that much money she worked with me a lot. Monday of 4/11/22 I can honestly say Catherine White helped me custody of my twins. Before this day came she help me get a temporary share custody in July of 2021. I showed the twins mother and the court that I way capable of raising my kids alone being a single father who worked a full time job and still go to school full time. Everything I did was for my kids and Catherine would check on me and ask how things where going? No one force her to do that but the fact she cared she wanted to make sure the kids where ok as well.
