After calling several law firms and getting poor responses and some were even rude and just about the money. I decided to try one more law firm- The Catherine M. White Law Offices. And I was glad that I did. Catherine is a great Lawyer. Not only is she professional and knowledgeable but, she is also ...compassionate and has a bubbly personality. She made a very stressful time in my life peaceful. From the 1st call to the last she has been kind and understanding. She made it very easy for me to trust her and went above and beyond to ensure the best results for me. She understood my pain. One of the things that stood out to me was, I called her on a Saturday night and she picked up...she listened to me and she gave me sound advise. Catherine represented me in divorce case. The moment I met her she was warm, empathetic and let me take the time I needed to explain my situation. She was honest and direct with me regarding my options. At the same she is laid back and made me feel comfortable. She worked to get me a settlement that ...was fair and reasonable. Once I learned that my son had been a victim of severe abuse, neglect, and endangerment, I clearly realized I was going to file for custody of him. It all started when the boyfriend of my ex-wife died of a drug overdose in their home in front of my child. 3 weeks later my son disclosed to me that... one of the sons of the babysitter whom his mother had been taking him to for 2 years had molested him for the greater part of a year. I knew that my ex had issues but I never thought she would of put our son in harms way. And I later learned that she knew he was in harms way because she was aware that the oldest of the 3 sons that lived with the babysitter is a registered sex offender. As one can imagine, I was in panic mode. I spent many evenings after work searching for a good attorney through referrals and the web. And that's when I came across Catherine's website. Her site was the first thing that drew me in, and it did because I was able to fully relate to the content on her site as a father looking to gain custody of their child. Her site is informative, explanatory, and clear in her intent in wanting to genuinely help those in need of legal family law assistance. I called and we set up our initial consultation. At first meeting her, she was warm, inviting, and she helped put my mind at ease. After disclosing all that I had learned, we quickly moved forward as she explained the process, court proceedings/hearings, and what to expect as things progressed. We initially filed for emergency custody which we were denied. But at least filing initiated the process and it got negotiations started. As we pressed forward Catherine made sure that not only I was well informed in all that was occurring, she was available to me for any questions or concerns in a relatively timely manner. If I ever needed anything explained, or just wanted to talk, she was always there. Patient and thorough, Catherine always took the time to not only answer all my questions, but she always had an ear to lend. In over the course of 15 months, we had 5 to 7 hearings. Catherine was very involved with the entire process including speaking with and or emailing with all parties including the opposing party's attorney and the Guardian ad litem. She would always check in with me at least a few days before every hearing to make sure we were both well informed and on the same page. She always made me feel like she had mine and my sons best interest in mind. In the end, not only did she help me attain a better understanding of parents rights, I was able to also obtain a better understanding of the legal system. Catherine was always honest and upfront with me, even if it wasn't what I necessarily wanted to hear. She is extremely knowledgeable, caring, honest, and passionate. It's attorneys like her who not only represent parents and their rights fairly, but she does it because she truly loves what she does. She was also more than fair in her fees as well. I am happy to say that I was granted full custody of my son. And I owe so much of it to Catherine and her representation. I'm forever grateful for her.

I was, at least initially, a very unwilling defendant in a divorce that was filed almost 2 years ago; the divorce was granted almost 2 weeks ago. I say at least initially, because I came to welcome the divorce, largely due to the profoundly nasty and irrational approach to the divorce my ex wife and... her legal team chose to pursue. To say that I was unprepared for the level of vitriol and the legal procedures involved would be a major understatement. I had no idea what to do and I basically depended on my mom's husband to guide me through much of the early stages of this ordeal and that included selecting Catherine White as my attorney. She was referred to us via another attorney and upon reading reviews for her, we opted to retain her services. Again, I knew almost nothing about divorce law or what this process would entail. When I first met Catherine, I was a sobbing, emotional wreck of a man. I couldn't accept the impending reality that I was losing my wife and my family as I had known and lived with for over 14 years. In addition to common and required legal counsel, she offered, what seemed at the time, conciliatory words of comfort, encouragement and predictions regarding the outcome of my divorce and personal life, that at that time, I couldn't even imagine. However, her guidance and counsel that transcended mere legal issues are what I am so impressed with and grateful for. Her words and actions were well beyond conciliatory, and she proved herself to sincerely care for me and try to help me get a grip on, and ultimately rebuild my life. She shared countless experiences from past clients and anecdotal references from her personal life in an effort to convince me that I would, at the very least: attain shared legal custody of my children; that my children would gravitate towards me; that I could and would "move on" with my life; that I would receive a fair outcome. I should point out that she never said it would be easy or that I would walk away from this totally satisfied, no "BS" from her, in other words. With that said, she and I prevailed against a very hostile team of lawyers and a vicious plaintiff that was hell-bent on destroying me. Moreover, I had to endure a biased GAL, who consistently represented my ex wife's interests by taking her accusations and concerns as fact without even attempting to vet their validity. I was stunned to find out that a GAL had the legal authority to treat conjecture and accusations from a hostile and disgruntled plaintiff as fact, which ultimately framed the GAL's narrative about me in a negative manner. I also did not receive, in my opinion, fair treatment from the magistrate who wrote our temporary orders. The temporary orders really hurt me financially and ultimately lead to the prolonging of my divorce. The magistrate created a scenario where a speedy end to the marriage was not in the plaintiff's interest. The eventual financial settlement saved me approximately $1,200 a month. Catherine never waned in her support of mine or my children's interests. Via her expertise and guidance, we prevailed against 3 contempt charges and numerous motions and of course, the ultimate outcome which went in my favor in every way. Catherine was right about everything from our initial meeting, all the way through the end. I will forever be grateful for what she did for me and my children. Catherine White is the most passionate attorney that I have ever had the privilege of working with on my case. My case involved me fighting for visitation rights with my natural born son. My present wife and I found Catherine and made an appointment to explain the case. I was fighting to be an active... parent in my son’s life.
