Mr. Luftman is dedicated and truly cares about cases his firm represents. He makes sure to be available to answer any questions or calm any concerns no matter the time of day. A great attorney.

I have used Mr. Luftman for DUI defense on two separate occasions. He was able to produce outstanding results on both cases, thus keeping a DUI charge off my driving record. I have referred many others for both criminal and traffic defense to the LHA firm and they were all very pleased with their results - a few even had their cases thrown out completely. I would strongly consider hiring Mr. Luftman in the future and consider him one of the top and most respected attorneys in central Ohio.

I retained Mr. Luftman for a case that could have negatively affected my driving privileges, and he was able to deliver exceptional results. Not only did I not have to make a "mandatory" court appearance, but he was also able to have the charge reduced such that my only penalty was the payment of required court costs. I was kept informed of the status of my case and was made well aware of the possible penalties associated with a guilty plea. I would highly recommend hiring Mr. Luftman.

Warning to first-time clients: For criminal defense, I strongly urge you to read this review. Read all the way through for surprise ending. I recommend you read through all the reviews for this firm to see a clear pattern in regards to criminal defense. The reviews suggest that most clients are lesser criminal charges, OVI/DUI, bankruptcy. Additionally, it appears that personal friends/acquaintances have also posted “character reviews”. I hired this firm when a criminal case was proceeding against me. He contacted me right away. After retaining service, communication was horrible and stayed that way. Dan Sobol was originally assigned my case. I did not hear from him for two weeks. I finally received a return call from Mr. Sobol who informed me that he would not be able to handle the case due to a current case and Mr. Luftman would be handling it. He told me this as if I had already been informed of this change but I had not. For those who are new the pre-indictment phase is perhaps the most crucial in the entire process. During this phase, it is the responsibility of the attorney to schedule character witnesses, compile background information, education records, psychological/personality testing and results, good character letters, expert witness testimony regarding tainted evidence, to be introduced at the indictment. Mr. Luftman did none of this, nor did he make any attempts. He was not aware of the date of my indictment, only informed me after it had taken place. After indicted, I was scheduled for arraignment and his plan was to accompany me to turn myself in. He had the date and time wrong so I missed the deadline. I still wanted to turn myself in and he advised me not to. This resulted with police officers showing up at my home at 4am, guns drawn (threatening our 14-year-old son) to arrest me when I was trying to be 100% compliant. We are finding that the only thing he did during the pre-indictment phase was to leave two messages with the detective and a garbled cell phone call with the prosecutor and he couldn’t be sure of everything she said. His inaction has grossly affected the outcome of my case. To recap: after all the time that was lost it was clear to me that he did not have the time to handle my case. I asked him if he wanted to opt-out so I could retain another attorney. He insisted he would “get me through this” and I should trust him. A couple days before my arraignment, he opened up new dialog that I should consider going with a public defender as they had more resources than he could provide. Understand that the fee you pay is strictly his fee and covers nothing additional. I stated I would not consider anything like that until after the arraignment. Forty-five minutes before the arraignment he visited me in the holding area. We went over a few last-minute details and he confirmed that he would be there representing me at the arraignment in 45 minutes. Here’s the shocking ending: he did not show for the arraignment. Rather, a public defender was on the podium and somehow it was listed that I had requested a public defender which is, of course, completely ridiculous. According to Mr. Luftman in our conversations prior to the arraignment, the prosecutor would not be seeking a high bond amount for release. Mr. Luftman even went so far as to say that if the bond was higher than $1,000 he would refund a portion of his fee to cover the cost. I received a very high bond so either there was no conversation regarding the bond amount or the prosecutor took full advantage of his absence. I called his office and even showed up there after my release and have heard nothing to date; he has gone completely silent. I have filed complaints with the CBA and the OSCDC. His instincts as my attorney were terrible and he was generally bungling, making mistakes at every turn. Take this review under advisement as there is the very real possibility he will inflict more damage to your current legal debacle.

I was involved in shoplifting case. It happened late Friday. I was in despair, my career, my family, my immigration status could had been lost. I found Benjamin online, sent him email and he was the first person called me Saturday morning. It was a blessing . He was calm, professional and very supportive.
He asked only several questions, it was evident that he knew what he was doing.
I had accepted his offer to take my case and never regreted afterwards
During this first call, he told me what was going to do, and what was going to happen. And that’s, actually, happened during next 2 months. Ben was very responsive, he always returned my calls, emails and text messages. His staff was fast and cooperative. He always made time for me and my case and made me feel like my case was a priority. My case had been dismissed, the records had been expunged and I don’t have any legal issues because of Benjamin incredible professional work. His service are worth every penny I’ve paid. I highly recommend Benjamin both as an effective lawyer and a great person. Thank you, Benjamin, for your help. I really appreciate it.

When my family was in trouble I talked to many lawyers for urgent help. Some of them started asking personal and irrelevant questions, and even some of them tried to scare us out directly so that we may hire them immediately.
Then fortunately I meet Mr. Luftman, who was courteous, professional, never asked me a single irrelevant, personal or unwanted questions. He mostly gave us a sincere hearing and gave specific plan what he can do for us in that situation. Our gut feeling was that we can trust him 100% and we trusted him thoroughly. Our case was resolved successfully.
I highly recommend Luftman and Associates for anyone who really needs a honest, sincere and professional Help. I can assure you that you wont regret.
Thanking you all

After taking horrible advice from an apathetic attorney who cared only about money, I took a plea deal because I had no options. Faced with a lack of funds, I couldn't pay my restitution so I found myself on the receiving end of a felony probation revocation hearing with an angry victim and facing 2 years. I called Ben less than 12 hours before I was to appear in court, and he picked up on the first ring.
Taking this as a good sign, I hired Ben to help me. He showed up on time and fully prepared even though I wasn't able to give him much information. Thanks to Ben, my probation wasn't revoked, the victim & prosecutor were happy and Ben even got me a favorable nod from the judge. I'm forever grateful that I am with my family right now because I could be behind bars.

I was scared to death. I did something very ignorant and I did not know what to do. I was caught concealing merchandise at a local Kohl s. This was my second charge for Theft in ten years. The first when I was young. I also have a few other misdemeanors.I scrambled to search for an attorney. I had some bad experiences with a couple attorneys i retained in the past. I researched and talked to over ten attorneys regarding this case. Each had their own advice. Ben Luftman was the most realistic and caring attorney who talked to me. He heard everything I had to say,did not rush off the phone, and was sincerely concerned with my concerns. He was always quick to contact me back and was very clear about the agreement and possible outcomes. His staff at his office was always polite and professional. Mr. Sabol actually represented me. He was God send. He was very confident and came prepared. He eased my fears and was so nice. They made a resolution to my case in only two dates. Which was very quick. My charge was dropped to a second degree misdemeanor of attempt with no jail time or probation of any kind. That was was phenomenal. That was a better resolution than I thought I would get. I am so happy that these guys are actually out there and helping people like me and has given us a second chance. I will never use another criminal attorney in Columbus or surrounding area. They are worth every penny and priced very competitively. I also get to keep my MA certification because of them as well. I recommend them to everyone I know. Thank you guys for all your hard work. You guys made my Holiday brighter.

For 3 years, I had warrants out for my arrest for charges that I had committed before I hired Mr. Luftman. The Franklin County Prosecutor had put out a press release, and I was on the news for not responding or showing up for my court hearings and drug tests, and had been dodging turning myself in because of the severity of how they were treating my case. It had been three years since I committed those crimes, and I looked up attorneys in Franklin County and found great reviews for Mr. luftman, so I called him. Within 6 months, he had taken care of everything. I had to go into court only once, and I didn't even go in front of the judge, he did everything. I thought I would have had at least fines, or probation coming out of the courtroom, but Mr. Luftman had gotten all of my charges dropped except for one( which I can get removed from my record in a year) I had no fines to pay, no reporting, no drug tests, no jail time. I highly recommend this attorney, as he followed through with all his promises, and made me feel very comfortable about what would happen before I went to the courthouse. His services are money well spent.
