Unprofessional ignorant narcissist

Run, don’t walk, from Mary Beth. I wish I could give this woman zero stars. I can’t begin to explain how unprofessional she is. She does not follow court rules, guidance from other lawyers involved in the same matter, or common sense really. She is ignorant and narcissistic. There are many, many bet...ter options available. Waste of money, time, and effort.

Child medical issue

I am a family physician, I was called by Mary Fisher regarding treatment of one of my pediatric patents. She repeatedly claimed to be an expert in medical issues, but I did not find that to be true. She was biased and derogatory toward the mother, spending more time criticizing her than focusing on t...he child’s well-being. Instead of mediating, she escalated tensions and seemed highly unprepared. Her mood swings and false claims were highly concerning, and she dismissed my professional opinion without basis, relying on misinformation. At one point, she told me I was legally not allowed to treat the child again due to the parenting agreement. Wanting to ensure there were no legal issues, especially to protect my strong reputation as a family physician, I asked the mother to provide the agreement. After reviewing it, I found no restriction preventing her from seeking treatment. She had equal rights in making medical decisions and Mary Fisher had completely misrepresented the facts. It was clear that she was more interested in supporting the father, despite this being a 50/50 parenting arrangement. The mother was also my patient, and I know she had come out of an abusive relationship. Despite this, Mary Fisher continually sided with the father, disregarding the trauma and ongoing harassment the mother had endured for years. I felt for the mother, who was doing her best for her child, while Mary Fisher seemed intent on undermining her. As the top-rated family physician in my state, I was shocked by her disregard for the child’s well-being. Her bias and lack of professionalism were alarming, and I hope this review helps others make informed decisions when faced with choosing an attorney for such matters.

Enabled ongoing abuse

I do not recommend Mary Beth Fisher for any family law matters. She allowed ongoing abuse from my children’s father and often dismissed serious concerns, even laughing them off during joint meetings. She would yell, interrupt, provide false information, and talk over others, then go unresponsive for ...months before sending invoices for her “services.” Instead of mediating conflicts, she added to the past trauma and made biased decisions that did not benefit the children. I’m sharing this to help others avoid a similar experience.

Negative Experience

As a school administrator, I have worked with numerous child custody attorneys and parenting coordinators, but my past experience with Mary Beth Fisher has compelled me to write my first negative review. My intention is to protect children and the families involved in future cases. Mary Beth Fishe...r contacted our school regarding a student's tardiness, which was well within district policy, and attempted to disparage the child’s mother, who has consistently demonstrated herself to be a dedicated parent and an active volunteer within our school community for many years. The call seemed more like a venting session, where she frequently deviated from the relevant information. She generated stress to the family and our staff and the call served no constructive purpose. She also sought to alienate a well-liked child without any justifiable cause, merely asserting that she had the right to contact us. A more appropriate approach would have been to consult our school policy online, which would have clearly shown there were no issues warranting such negative attention from her. Instead, she chose to misuse her position as a court-appointed representative to intimidate parents, teachers, administration, and, most regrettably, the child involved. My primary concern is always the well-being of our students. Our school intervenes in co-parenting situations when we believe a child is in danger, at risk or when school policy has been violated—none of which was applicable in this instance. Instead, Ms. Fisher used the call to intimidate and engage in unfounded gossip, questioning our well-established policies and the integrity of those involved. The end result of the call with Mary Beth Fisher, along with several meetings with teachers, counselors and parents, was that there was no reason to have engaged everyone in the first place and no further action needed. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Mary Beth Fisher as a parenting coordinator or attorney. Her conduct is decidedly unprofessional and falls far short of the standards required to effectively support families and children.

Extremely unprofessional - avoid at all costs

The parenting coordinator assigned by the court, Mary Beth Fisher, has been completely ineffective and left a very negative impact in our case. She is highly unprofessional on every level and doesn’t get her facts straight before approaching a situation between parties. Her lack of professionalism a...nd empathy made an already difficult process even more challenging. She tries to exert her “authority” creating unnecessary drama that negatively impacts the children and all parties involved. We could go on and on about her failures. Other attorneys that have worked with her in the past have also expressed the same opinions about their cases. They do not like working with her and it’s well known that she has moved from firm to firm. Extremely unprofessional. The first couple of reviews below from years ago are the most accurate ones. You can see with the more recent reviews, she must have had someone add a few fake “positive ones” within a month’s time to save face. Any reviews below that are spinning her as positive are highly inaccurate. She is a total disgrace to the system. We were extremely disappointed with her services and would not recommend her to anyone in need of genuine support and guidance for their family. The court system is only causing further damage to a family by assigning Mary Beth Fisher to their case. If she is assigned to you in your case for any reason, I would highly recommend you speak to your attorney and petition the court to change the parenting coordinator before it is settled.

"Mary Beth is an extremely knowledgeable, caring attorney and a party would be lucky to have her on his or her case. I have had the pleasure of working on numerous cases where Mary Beth has been involved as opposing counsel, an impartial mediator, and the Guardian ad Litem and can say that she is top notch. I recommend her without hesitation."
