David Brian Shaver

I first went to David because his price was lower than most other divorce attorneys. I needed him for a couple other issues including a divorce and he claimed he could help me. I quickly realized that he was incompetent at his job. He advised me to plead guilty to a charge that I did not commit ...do because he felt it would be easier than going to trial, this caused jail time and more importantly did not allow me to see my children for a couple months. I was overcharged by David and I realzied that he did not care about me or even knew who I was. I hired a new lawyer shortly after and he was able to VERY QUICKLY start getting things in the right direction. I wanted to trust David, but he failed me a couple times, overcharged without explanation and even missed a court date. I can not recommend his services.

He represented me in a self defence case in Pickerington. He worked out a deal with the Prosecutor and told me to plead guilty to assault and I would just get non-reporting probation for 12 mos and "No problem after 12 mos we will just get it expunged" His total incompetance lead to this extremely mi...ssleading statement. He either never read my record (which he had a complete copy of) or was unaware of Oh law. I am not ELIGIBLE FOR EXPUNGEMENT due to a dui from many years ago. Now I have an M1 assault on my record forever and cannot get a decent job. He is the most INCOMPETENT ATTORNEY IN COLUMBUS OHIO!!! Thanks alot Dave

First of all, front office person Ginger was rude and short on the phone when trying to discuss billed invoice. Fees were not explained in detail upon first meeting. $30 per email was not explained until after the fact. Very poor communication. Would not recommend due to how I was treated by the ...office staff and not being detailed about billing up front.

I was very happy with the legal assistance I received from Attorney Shaver and his staff. He is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful with my QDRO matters. I cannot imagine going through my trials without them. Reasonable billing too, especially phone consultations and email communications. He... didn't charge me for "small" stuff.
