Not Just a Lawyer-A REAL Person
I hired Matt September 15, 2021 to help me through my divorce. I was a train wreck and had no clue where to even begin. Matt was so sweet and friendly and funny. I spoke with him like I was talking to a friend, he was that easy to get along with. He really eased a lot of my concerns and prepared me f...

Do your research
I hired and paid Mr. Langhals for a custody case only to find out that my ex had a consultation with him in the past therefore I couldn't use him due to conflict of interest. He did respond to one of my exes motions and did file something on my behalf. However, I paid 3,500 retainer and he refunded ...
You mentioned a "lesson learned" in the last sentence, and you made a good point. When you came into my office, it was October of 2019. Up to that point, I kept track of all consultations in an Excel spreadsheet. I also provided consultations over the phone, and there were times when people just walked in without an appointment, and if I had the time, I would talk with them for 30 minutes or so. I thought I was being helpful by doing this, but that's exactly the kind of thing that lead to your situation. Thus, I have since found a much better way of tracking consultations with a software program called CLIO. Additionally, consultations are now always scheduled in CLIO (whether that's in person, over the phone, or by Zoom) and anyone who sets up a consultation is tracked in the CLIO calendar and as a CLIO contact. Thank you.

Dissolution
Matthew represented me during my recent dissolution. He guided me through this painful process with great patience and understanding. He always responded promptly and courteously to my questions even though I am sure he had to answer the same question multiple times. I highly recommend his services....

Best lawyer!
Matthew did an amazing job with me and my case. I was going in to court to get a shared parenting agreement and he came through with everything and more! I would definitely recommend him to anyone even my friends and family! Thank you so much again!!
"Matt was a Guardian ad Litem on two of my cases. His calm and likeable demeanor was a welcome addition to the case and my clients felt at ease talking with him about their issues and concerns. Matt was very diligent in his efforts and his reports are very detailed as well as offering recommendations that helped resolve the issues in the cases. Hes well respected by the Court and I would certainly recommend him as a GAL and as an attorney."
"I have had the opportunity to work with Matt in several cases. At all times, Matt displayed professionalism. He was approachable and shared the common goal of reaching positive resolutions to difficult cases. I greatly respect the fact that he worked the cases without being clouded by emotions. As opposing counsel, it is nice to know that the other side will always be reasonable. I look forward to working more cases with him!"
"Matthew's compassion and knowledge makes him a wonderful attorney. I look forward to working with him more in the future because I know that when he is on a case, I know that there is a reasonable, competent and skilled attorney on the other side."
"In reviewing Attorney Langhals contributions it is clear he has strong client communication skills and a practical problem-solving approach. These skills will make or break a case and are essential on top of a solid grasp of the law."
"I endorse this lawyer. Mr. Langhals is an excellent family law attorney. It is clear that he works dilligently to serve the needs of his clients."
"I endorse this lawyer. Matthew is a fine lawyer with an excellent grasp of both the law and the trial tactics needed to win cases. He is an excellent advocate and works not only hard, but also, SMART for his clients. His answers to complex legal issues sjhow an excellent grasp of the law, and his dedication to the community is revealed by his excelent work on public forums such as AVVO. If you hire this man, I believe that he will get you excellent results."
"I endorse this lawyer. Attorney Langhals has commented on several of my answers here on Avvo. His comments have always been based on my support of alternative dispute resolution, rather then litigation. I endorse anyone who supports ADR and understands that their job as an attorney is not just about winning, or making money. Our job is to do what is best for our client. Litigation is rarely a good idea, and I believe, as Attorney Langhals appears to believe as well, that there are other and better ways to fairly resolve disputes rather than litigation. Anyone who supports mediation, and other forms of resolution deserves my support as well."
