During 2016, during one of my darkest times through a divorce, had lost all hope. Wasnt sure how the legal system worked or if I could afford. After calling around for FREE legal advice, Don and his team came highly regarded for his Social Services through a variety of Columbus, Ohio non profits a...nd outreaches. He mentored, guided and helped me to focus on what was right, not what was said or accused, and to this day my life has gotten better. My family, work life is balanced. I have hope in the justice system and individuals now more than ever. Once again, found myself in a dark time do to a broken leg, and Don stepped in (no pun) and saved the day. I'll start by stating that Don was referred to me by my Daycare's assistant. She was NOT represented by Don, her X was. She told me that he was a shark, but for the benefit of the father's rights...because she knows I'm a good Dad. There should be no scenario in a legal separation & divorce wher...e either party gets 100% of what they wanted...it has to be about the kids (if you have them). I have heard many horror stories of divorce and the father living in his car... In my scenario, I am more than satisfied given all of the potential outcomes. Don kept me in check at the appropriate moments and coached me through what is a more than difficult time. I would easily recommend Don to anyone seeking WHAT IS MORALLY RIGHT!

I attended the University of Florida's College of Law in the 90s. Upon graduation, I chose not to practice for various reasons. One of those reasons was that I saw too many of my classmates who seemed to be there for the wrong reasons; namely status, money or pure unadulterated VANITY (aka "my favor...ite sin," as Al Pacino famously said in Devil's Advocate). In truth, I was also guilty of such to some degree. I did, however, see a few diamonds in this rather dismal pile of humanity. A select few among them were, in fact, attending law school only for the love of the law's true purpose. These legal knights treated the law with a purity and a reverence usually reserved for the medical profession or clergy. To these future lawyers, it wasn't about a Rolex watch or BMW, but it was about practicing their deeply held belief in the vision that once was THE LAW; to uphold justice, defend the weak, and be an untouchable champion of the helpless. Don Roberts reminds me of one of those legal crusaders I was privileged to call my classmates. While helping me with a family law case, I saw him courageously take on an entire courtroom, including an irate judge, in his aggressive defense of his client -a sweet woman who was otherwise defenseless and vulnerable against her cruel ex-husband's powerful yet spiritually sold-out DKNY and Prada wearing lawyer. Throwing personal concerns to the wind, he laid it all on the line to successfully defend this woman's rights, where less noble counselors would have shied away- concerned more for their bottom line than their client. In fact, her previous lawyer had sold her down the river, for exactly this reason, and if not for his fearless intercession that day, she would have lost her case right there and then. For these reasons, and many others, I cannot recommend Mr. Roberts highly enough. JDL UF College of Law, class of 2000
