They have violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. By all means you should get a lawyer ( whose fees they will have to pay) and sue them.

You absolutely need to contact a lawyer. If the facts are as you state them, then you have a great case under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

It seems you can get proof of payment from your insurance company. You can certainly counterclaim against the law firm under the Fair Debt...

Call a lawyer immediately. They cannot have you arrested for defaulting on a loan. You may be able to raise claims against them as well
