I've handed thousands of divorce cases over the past 40 years. Everyone of them was unique in some way. I pride myself on being an unapologetic advocate for my clients. The vast majority of divorce cases settle through negotiation, mediation or collaboration. Going to trial should always be the last resort but I am more than happy to go to trial if that's what it takes to get our clients the best possible result.

"Family Law" encompasses a vast area of domestic relations practice, including divorce, separation, child custody, child support, domestic violence, division of marital assets, restoration of non-marital assets, valuation of business interests or professional practices, division of personal property, division of real estate interests, and much, much more.

Child custody is a particularly sensitive area. Every parent wants what is best for his or her children but sometimes conflict between the parent results in the child's best interests being confused or misinterpreted. The court sometimes has to be involved in helping the parties learn how to effectively co-parent their children.

Child support in Kentucky is based on a purely mathematical formula. BUT, there is a lot of "art" in attorneys proving what each parent's genuine income is or could be. That's why people need experienced Family Law attorneys to represent them in their child support issues.
