I have had Mr. Donald Rafferty as my attorney twice before in 2001 & 2004 and now, I have hired him a 3rd time in 2014. He was in my past cases very efficient and he got both charges dismissed in both 2001 & 2004 !!
The first case was of "Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor".
I had met 2 girls in a hotel lobby where there was a modeling competition. I had a reservation and while waiting to check in, the girls came up to me and started talking to me. We made a friendship and they said that they loved Margaritas. I also liked Margaritas so when I went to the hotel lobby bar to get one for myself, they requested me politely to get one for each of them also. The bartender told me that in order to serve 3 drinks at once, he had to visually locate the people for the additional drinks. I pointed out the girls who were only 25 feet away and he then made the 3 drinks. He needed a lot of time since he was out of tequila. It took him over 10 minutes but he finally made the drinks. When I took the drinks to the hotel lobby, I noticed that the girls had now suddenly vanished. I put the 3 drinks on the table and waited for them to come back. I never drank my drink and the girls NEVER returned so they NEVER touched their drinks. After about 20 minutes of waiting, I saw 4 police officers walking towards me. They then handcuffed me and took me under arrest. I was made to wait in the police station for over 4 hours and then transported to directly to the county jail. I could not call anyone and after 2 days, the guard called my name and told me that I was leaving !! I found out that someone had posted my bond, but who ?? Mr. Rafferty had posted my bond !!
The bonding agent took me to Mr. Rafferty's office. I then requested Mr. Rafferty to help me since I lived out of state. He took my case and when it came time for the Court hearing, Mr. Rafferty talked to the Judge for about 5 minutes. The Judge then announced that he was DISMISSING my charges !! He even apologized to me on behalf of the jurisdiction that the Court presided over and scolded the Prosecution & Police for bringing these charges to his Court...
The second time, I was charged with a Felony count of writing an NSF check for over $24,000. I then again went to Mr. Rafferty's office and he took my case. The charges were DISMISSED again !!!
I now have this super-sharp lawyer again and I am confident that he will protect me from a horrible miscarriage of justice on false felony charges. I recommend him highly if you are in the Gulf Coast area and need a strong & aggressive defense lawyer. I have already referred 2 clients to him over the years and they are also very happy with his legal skills.
