Jeffrey Birl Rimes

Jeff is a founding member of Taggart, Rimes and Graham, PLLC in Ridgeland, Mississippi. He earned his undergraduate degree from William Carey College and a Master’s Degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  Jeff graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mississippi College School of Law where he served as Casenote/Comment Editor of the Law Review and as Vice President of the Student Bar Association.  Jeff then clerked with former Justice Kay B. Cobb on the Supreme Court of Mississippi.  Jeff has an active chancery court practice.  He also is certified and serves regularly as a Guardian Ad Litem.  Jeff has a growing and innovative practice in the area of mediation. For several years, he has served as School Board Attorney in Greene County and has served on the Board of Directors of the Conference of School Attorneys of the Mississippi School Board Association.  Jeff is active in the Bar and served in 2012 on the Special Committee on Judicial Election Campaign Intervention as an Appointee of Philip Gunn, Speaker of the Mississippi House of Representatives.  He has been rated AV by Martindale- Hubbell.
