The only option was giving at least 1 Star but that is overrated!!
The Affidavit of Hiership and very easy process, however, I live in the Atlanta area. I retained the services of this Law Offices to file an Affidavit of Hiership with the Shelby County Register.
I mailed the retainer fee ($250.00) in April. After 3 weeks of no response, I followed with phone calls. The retainer package had been delivered but never handled.
One Month later:
Akines Law Offices provide the initial draft:
Totally Wrong address of the property
Missed spelled names of the heirs provided
I provided three witnesses names and addresses for the affidavits;
Akines Law Offices never mailed them so I mailed them myself.
Affidavits were found to contained false information. I corrected and re-mailed.
All corrected affidavits were sent to Akines Law Offices.
I sent cashier’s check for filling fee ($36.00) October 5. I followed-up with several calls and emails. No responses.
The three affidavits were finally filed October 27, one which had the initial wrong information.

I was a former client and I trusted this attorney to provide me with a service. I provided her with "All" of my information in an effort to provide me a service in a timely fashion. My court date was delayed several times due to untimely filings. She missed one or two appointments w/o advanced notice. She was just very unprofessional. She ended up costing me more money, time, and headache. After speaking with several family attorneys to get advice on what to do, I was told to go back to her to try and resolve the matter being she was my acting attorney at the time. That was a huge mistake. She refused to speak with me. I found that my files, along with many others, were being kept in her personal garage in boxes. I ended up going through a TN Board mediator, which turned out to be a game of tag through the USPS....frankly it got tiring. I just feel like if you pay someone to do a service, it is their duty...their profession to make sure they are knowledgeable in all areas and are providing their client with "all" information to prevent a bad outcome. My problem ended up being resolved through out of state courts....some 8 years later. Thanks Atty Hill-Akines for making those 8 years for me "Hell".
